What a freaking clown show. Mason Jones has gotten away with at least 4 offensive fouls either ducking his shoulder or extending his arm. The two arm extensions were both right in front of one of these bozo officials. One of the shoulder dips where there was clear contact was even called a flop on Pons.

This crew has no idea what a charge or block is. It has been terribly officiated both ways. It just keeps getting worse as I type this. Good grief.

They just finally called one. He’s been doing that shove to create space all night.

Pat Adams has never liked TN. The bias is obvious.

Any unbiased ref would have fouled out Jones early in second half of this game.

Touch fouls or phantom calls called all night but obvious push offs and travels go uncalled.

It's the typical Pat Adams game for TN

Ever notice that whenever we have a critical game we always get Pat Adams, TV Teddy Valentine, or Doug Shows?
Or, as in the case of last season’s LSU game, we get a literal fan of the other team. It’s still crazy to think that happened in a game that went to overtime and decided the SEC championship, and maybe a 1 seed in the tourney.

I’m about done with CBB. It’s become a joke of what it used to be. Not just the officiating but the one and dones as well as scandles where known cheating lime will wade is allowed. Fans need to stop watching this crap. Going on vacation and won’t even care that I am missing March Madness. I hope San Diego State or some more name team wins it. Screw Duke and all the cheaters. Cheaters include Titty Valentine and Doug show me a good time patty cake Adams ref man.

I don’t watch college basketball outside of Tennessee and Michigan because of how awful officiating is and the inconsistency that comes with it. It’s completely unwatchable. It’s a crisis.

The officiating wasnt very good but blaming officiating is just deflecting away from getting run out of the gym...
Yeah, man, completely agree. As bad as the officiating is in college basketball and especially the SEC, it always seems to even out in the long run. I can think of one game in the last 10 years where UT got screwed. That was the Purdue game last year and the main reason I think that is because I wanted that win, so bad. So my bias probably blinded me. Vols let the Hogs jump on 'em early and when we finally recovered and got it back to a 2 point game, they had shot their wad and Jones kept drilling 3s, while Joe was breaking down the half court defense, by taking the ball straight to the hole. Hogs ate us up and the refs had nothing to do with it

Next year should be much better. The reality is that this UT team is just not very good. We lack skills and mental toughness. The lack of defensive quickness at the guard position is very noticeable with certain players.

Yep our guard defense is killin us

College basketball has been allowed to become so physical it's hard for me to watch. There are multiple hard fouls on every possession which leads to the refs having to be totally subjective on the ones they choose to call which results in inconsistency. Today’s guards look like they’ve been trained by football running back coaches.

It's our fault we couldn't stop Jones or Joe, but the arm push offs, and charges are not consistent. We beat South Carolina with one call, lose to them on a similar call. Fulky gets offense fouls all the time with those calls.

A lot of these refs grew up playing Rec or outdoor neighborhood ball which has slowly driven BBall, no blood no foul.It has gone away from the original intent as non contact into a full contact sport that is called 99 different ways throughout the years. That's why when Auburn got down 17 they just went total aggressive and got away with it, some nights you can get away with bumping. hand checking, pushing ,clearing out. you get down got nothing to lose, Not sure who wins the players , fans or Refs or maybe I should say who loses the most.
Naismith just rolled over again.

If you went back and watched the film after we cut it to 2 in the second half, look at all the missed calls from that point on. All the push off no calls, blocks on pons, charge on Vescovi, step back 3 where he takes 3 steps , Arkansas running mouth to our bench...no wonder we don’t have a shot at winning. It is awful. I love basketball but officiating makes me want to not watch anymore.

Biased officiating and sucking up to the home crowd has ruined the game tremendously.

No consistency when it comes to making the right calls and it affects the outcome of the game more than you think.

Why even have rules that were made by James Naismith himself if you’re not going to enforce them? Such a joke.

The game is about the players not the officiating. With that being said, players know when “you aren’t getting the calls”. What amazes me most is UT doesn’t have a home court advantage when it comes to officiating. If TV Ted, Pat are refereeing, I don’t wasted my time watching.
