Wrong. Weak excuse, and thats all it is ... an excuse. This offense is no different than last years. VT already has their game plan
and its not like the braintrust of Jones, Debord, and Azzanni are going to dial up anything new next week. And Dobbs has 2
problems, he can't throw, and he won't throw. He holds the ball too long, depends on his first read, then he's off to the races.
Actually we saw him regress last night, along with the entire offensive staff.
i dont understand the thought process of Limited Playbook, They do realize you can watch every game from last year on film, inculding a bowl game... so the not giving them anything to look at is not an excuse.
limiting players i understand , no need to get anyone hurt, but down by 13 its time to pull out all stops.

It's OK. I watched the 3rd qtr. and part of the 4th of that game and you're right in that Urbie was using far more of his play book than seemed reasonable, even long after a runaway was the foregone conclusion. Butch, et al underestimated Appy State's combination of resolve/athleticism/physicality and a very cleverly designed approach to this game. Nonetheless, down the lineup of upcoming games the film rooms of opposing OCs and DCs will, indeed, be looking primarily at last year's replays of the Vols...which isn't going to be the case for those upcoming opponents of tOSU...like some very hungry-for-a-comeback Sooners, etc. I'll take an ugly win that keeps the play book a secret as opposed to a rout which includes more ammo for future opponents. AMIRIGHT? To those who're oversimplifying a HC's strategy I'll ask "Which coaches meetings have you attended lately? :hi:What team did he say he coached? He offered an opinion and stated a preference. You are aware that this is a message board dedicated to discussion about University of Tennessee athletics?
