I totally understand the frustration. Although giving up your tickets over a parking permit seems like a slight overreaction. Have you checked on Craigslist for parking on the resell market? A few years back we parked at Church on Church St and loved it. Looks like it went up quite a bit and is now $40. Like I say I can totally understand frustration over it although giving up your tickets seems a little extreme.

at least it looks like they finally abandoned Lot 40. That was my one and only year purchasing football parking

Side note. Parking is still free at state, market, and Dwight kessell garages. The trolley picks up at Krutch park and drops you off at the hill. I believe the cost is 5$. That all could change.

I completely get it and I don’t blame you. Surely though, you can find an answer in the secondary market if nothing else.

Crisis averted. Sparing details, kudos to Danny White and the AD office for making things right. My son is starting at UT and we are really looking forward to hosting him and friends at the tailgate (one reason off-campus parking was not a good option for us).

Honestly, the price hike made us question renewing tickets. $2400/pair with only a few interesting home games is a lot of money, especially in this economy and now college tuition. We'll see how the year goes.

Just curious on which lot they put you in. I had a buddy who has a better rank than I, has had tickets/parking pass for probably 20 yrs and they ignored his three choices and put him in 11th street garage which is very hard to get out of. I got one of my choices.

It was much easier the past few years where they would assign a space based on rank, then you could go online and move if available. I ended up calling before I made a selection to determine lots I could likely get in based on my rank. By the way, my rank got better by a few hundred spots due to folks not renewing their tickets.

Lake Ave. It's got some nice corners and the park outside where you can set up tents. Close walk to the strip. We were there several years ago.

We were in 11th for the last few years. The roof is a great spot with view of the downtown skyline and extra room behind the spaces. However, it's absolute gridlock getting out. Several times, we reparked and walked over to the sports bar at the Holiday Inn for an hour or so. That's a lot more fun after a win than a loss.

That's my confusion. I don't understand why they abandoned that. It made too much sense, and if I had been able to do that, I would have just gotten Ag if I had known I'd be dumped into G17.

I'm assuming the ticketmaster conversion (something both the fans and Danny White will grow to regret) had a lot to do with that.

And Jacketvol is right to question the lack of transparency. Its something that's gotten worse not better with the TN Fund and the ticket office. It really sounds like they were an absolute mess behind the scenes this summer.

The last few years we have been in a lot on the hill above Lake Ave that we would enter from Caledonia. Good location, however apparently they are going to put a dorm on that site and it is not available this year.

They get a cut, and if the deal works like most others, guaranteed sales. Its actually a pretty gross system.

My concern is TM bringing in their dynamic pricing garbage they use in concerts, and that most fans got introduced to at the Music City Bowl last year.

UT seems to be actively running off season ticket holders in basketball, so I'm wondering if that's what's next.

We always park at Blackstock lot when we go to games, easy in and out, good area to tailgate and easy walk to stadium through World Fair Site. Restrooms are available along the walk.

One thing I noticed is the fee to sell is only 10 percent matching vivid. In the past, TM was more. Vivid was a horrible site to use.

I am a little late to this ‘party’, but got my parking passes either yesterday or the day before. No notification via email…just checked the app and there they were. I felt sure the delay in assignment was going to create a huge snafu and it seems it has for some. I am an old, long time donor——and got my ‘normal’ parking assignment: G16; which I love. I’m in the third tier but my ranking is good—1680. I hope this gives some of you points of reference.

I just park in the Publix garage down from the strip for $30 on Gameday and it’s a very manageable walk.

Some years ago, they changed the post game traffic pattern and it became a nightmare for those of us that wanted to travel toward the Alcoa/Maryville direction after the game. That's was one of several reasons I let my season tickets go

I am not having trouble with the process yet, but I know this will be a MAJOR cluster, headache and issue for thousands of Vol fans. I hate the new process personally, not necessarily for myself, but for many others. Just think if your phone dies or malfunctions, because they do, you are screwed.

What do you do if people are sitting in your seats and your phone dies or malfunctions in stadium and you can't show your digital tickets to prove the seats are yours? We have had the same seats for many, many years and often folks are sitting in our seats. Mostly because they are lost and not familiar with the sections at Neyland, but some just sit wherever, don't care, and look at you as the bad person for claiming your assigned seats.

UT has to come up with another option for folks, especially those technologically disadvantaged. Whether disadvantaged because of age or resources, or technical difficulties with phone....

Those looking for parking can always drive through the fort area. Kids giving up their spots trying to make some bucks - $25-$50 on gameday. We were at around $25 so I have to imagine the price has gone up.

Can always park in Old City beside Barley's Taproom and ride the shuttle to corner of Cumberland Ave and Phillip Fulmer Way. Cheap and convenient.
