So, the seat reassignment was very poorly handled this summer, and our communication with UT was disappointing. We did finally come to terms on more expensive seats. This week, we did not get notification of parking pass assignment, and now UT says they are sold out. They never emailed about a change in the process.

Any advice? We have already emailed the AD.

Send Danny White an email. He'll likely get it resolved for you.

**Edit** Worth noting, my oldest son wanted to drive separate last year. The garage I park at sold him a ticket for the day. I make the assumption they sell so many the day of.

We have, waiting to hear back. We've had season tickets for 15 years and paid $4800 this year.

I was told this morning they actually over subscribed. Which I think means they even had more who paid who still did not get one. It seems the change has created a mess.

Pass lots do not sell any extra spots on game days.

Locust did last year, I know for a fact, my oldest purchased one on game day. Now, was that a favor because I've been using the same garage for years, attendant recognizes me....I don't know.

Someone might have turned one in to an attendant unused that day, that happens very rarely but the university doesn’t sell extras on game days.

That could be possible. IDK....

**Edit** I do remember her asking me what he drove. .

Out of curiosity, if they oversold housing, are they going to take it upon themselves to find housing for student?
They capped admissions this fall precisely because they had no campus housing available and the Knoxville apartment market has not kept up with demand. Several hundred students who would have otherwise been accepted were turned away because of a lack of housing.

On the other hand here in Charlotte, UNCC kept admitting students over the spring and summer expecting a high percentage would not actually enroll once the semester started. They were wrong, there are over 400 students who were inititally told they had housing but during the summer found out they didn't and are now trying to locate other places to live.

Do season ticket holders receive a parking pass , as part of being a season ticket holder ? Or do they have to pay extra in order to receive a parking pass ?

Locust has been either permit or $20 cash for years.

Per Knoxville's gameday parking website, you will be able to park there this season as well for $20.

City of Knoxville Public Parking Downtown Options on Home Football games

The city will convert to Special Event Parking at 4 pm on Thur, Sept 1 (yet to be determined)
  • Downtown garages – $20 – Main Ave, Dwight Kessel, City County Bldg, and Locust St
  • Downtown – Civic Coliseum Garage & Blackstock Lot – $10

Exact same thing happened to me. I ended up emailing Danny White and it was taken care of. It may be too late now as I emailed him a couple of weeks ago about my issue.

Sounds like this is still alive and well in Knoxville.View attachment 481025
So ridiculous. Unbelievable to pay that kind of money and not get a spot to park. We've been moved around over the years... G10, 11th st, 16th st, and Locust garages, a short stint by the water rx plant (easy access in and out but long walk and stinky).

You could pay $20 per game at Locust, it's actually cheaper that way than the season parking pass. I've never known it to fill up.

One other beef is they still haven't given any updates on away game ticket requests. Those were submitted over 2 months ago and it's hard to make travel plans not knowing if you have tickets already or will have to pay through the nose on the resale sites.

Ridiculous to not have all this settled with the season 2 weeks away.

.
How does that work? Can you get a pass ahead of time? It would suck royally to prep and pack a tailgate then not have a spot.

My buddy that I share tickets with was a surgeon at UT and has donated a large amount over the years, and all that is being basically ignored this year. It's BS
