Looks like Saturday will be a last-minute day trip! Can anyone with Atlanta knowledge suggest our best bet for parking within waking distance to stadium? I'd rather not have to deal with Marta unless necessary.

TIA

Dragon Con is this weekend also.

Traffic should be more bonkers than usual.

I get free parking, but I’m parking at North Springs and taking the train.

I bought a parking pass about .3 mi away on TickPick. It's at a hotel and its was $28.......not too bad considering there's $50+ and being at a gated hotel gives me a little more confidence/security. I'd check TickPick.

As some others have recommended-park at a suburban Marta lot and take the train man.

It's a noon game. Even if you walk around a while after the game-maybe grab an early dinner, etc-you're still gonna be outta there by 6.

Yes, Marta is a zoo but during the day and especially going to a game at the stadium the odds are in your favor that most folks are gonna be "normal". Will save you the driving stress also. Gonna be a big weekend with all the events+ being a holiday weekend in general

That area around MB stadium is pretty nasty on 3 sides. The 4th side is the downtown (East) side which can go either way lol. To the wast is an area known as The Bluff. Trust me, nothing good has ever happened over there ha ha.

Lived in Atlanta for 8-9 years as a student and then working for a few years. The Bluff was one of my "no go" zones-for any reason. Always amazes me that people try to park their $80k or more vehicles over there to save a buck or two.

Edit-sorry had me directions backwards (east-west). Corrected.

If taking a Marta is the best option, would y'all suggest Hamilton Holmes station, Dunwoody, Buckhead, Lindberg Center, or somewhere else (coming from knoxville)?

Dunwoody station is just off 285 near Perimeter Mall and is probably the closest if coming in on 75 from Knoxville. The time on the train will be longer but you'll have less driving. There's a free parking garage at that station

Can't imagine they will be stirring much at 10 a.m.

The MARTA is really interesting at night when those festivities are in town, though.
You've apparently never been to DC. Not sure those people sleep. Parade Saturday... Should be slammed after the game as well. You could make the most of it and drink and people watch...

I have not. But they had one of those the same weekend as one of our other games in Atlanta. . . Maybe NC St several years ago? The train was a  very interesting experience.
