Has anyone parked in lot 40 before? If so do the shuttles run quickly after the game or is it like trying to get to the coliseum

It's been a few years, but when I parked there if the bus wasn't sitting outside the stadium then you'd be just as fast to walk.

Yes, but we walked back after the game.

The shuttles before the game makes it easy.

Not sure what it's like after

How long of a walk is it. It looks really far on the map

If you don't have any health issues it's not bad at all.

I'd guess it's about 10-12 blocks depending on where you park in lot 40 and which way you walk from the Stadium.

I've always parked at Kerns Bakery but they put a fence around the parking lot so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. My tradition has ended. :(

Where's lot 40? My limited experiences with shuttles after the game is nightmarish. Walking is 2-3 times faster

With all of the construction on and off campus, parking is going to be a zoo this year. "Public" lots will be gouging like never before and for the 1st time in recorded history there were requests for parking that were returned unfilled. Some lots and garages are gone and others just unavailable. Lot 40 is a bit of a walk but much closer than many other options. Shuttles to the game are good. As noted, after the game it's a different story.

alcoa hwy exit, then cumberland/kingston pike exit, left at that light, then left immediately before the railroad bridge.

YES....OR I 75N to exit 376A and take Pellissippi Parkway to Exit 11B (Alcoa Hwy). Alcoa Hwy leads right to Neyland Drive at the Ag Campus

I say tear down stokely and gibbs and build a really nice, super sized athletic dorm and maybe beside that, a 25 or 30 story parking garage with 12 feet of height on each level for tail gating purposes......OH WAIT.....nevermind

Right beside Tyson Park

I forgot that UT acquired that property. It used to be $20 per game to park there.

I've been watching the parking pass market. The season pass prices are crazy. G-5 and G-10 are more expensive than most pairs of season tickets. Somebody in the private sector needs to come up with some business plans for parking and shuttling. Maybe an extension of Uber. It shouldn't cost $100/game to park a mile away from the stadium. The Ag Campus isn't quite as expensive but sounds about like moving a herd of cattle around. A well organized park and ride from all that open space underneath the I-40/75 and I-275 spaghetti of ramps and overpasses would be great. I guess the Civic Coliseum is similar to the Ag Campus. Not that simple to quickly find a spot on a bus unless most of the crowd mostly started leaving in the third quarter.

George Mooney nailed it. Vol Navy is the best option.
