Here are some football coaches they “worked”with before. These coaches will be first in line for interviews or of interest.
1. Leach (twice)
2. Frost (to UCF)... few days after hiring of White to UCF
3. Taggart (twice)
4. Matt Campbell (to Iowa state)
5. Cristobal (to Oregon)
6. Josh Heupel (to UCF)
7. Drinkwitz- (to Missouri )

And people think I’m crazy because I said WHAT IF the whole Elliott as HC is a smokescreen to get somebody not on anybody’s radar like Frost as HC and Elliott coming in as OC and HCIW

HCIW? Why would Elliott be HCIW? Frost is 46. That’s normally with a coach who is retiring. Frost still has 20 years+

As I understand the search firm, they're not making a recommendation. They're hired to vet the coach and make sure there are no compromising issues surrounding the candidates that would be problematic for the university. The decision about who makes the cut and eventually who is hired is that of the AD and the administration.

FWIW:
Parker is not involved anymore.

Plowman said yesterday (during the presser) the searching firm was out with the HC search, it totally DW's call at this point.

Because more than likely whoever takes over will either move on or get fired and having him as HCIW will get stability in the program, have to think now and long term and White mentioned both in his presser so you have to think like that

Please re-read this and let us know if it still makes sense. Why would Elliot leave for the same position at a dumpster fire? Why would anyone whose ready to be a HC work under a guy in his mid forties as a HCIW? Why would Frost leave his alma mater that is his dream job until he retires or is fired? No offense but none of what you wrote makes any sense.

He has not made a power 5 hire , moreover an SEC power 5. His hires before were at the level of the conferences they played in. Big boy ball now.

Please listen to White presser then look up stoener_fumbles who’s been spot on this whole time, you’ll see where Elliott has been in talks with White and you’ll see where either Frost or Campbell is top target, I’m just saying if you want to win now and have long term success which is what White said in his presser, the only thing makes sense is bring in a HC and a top notch recruiter and OC and make them HCIW, already been said checkbook is open so pay both significantly and boom! I think that makes perfect sense, whether it’s Frost, Campbell, or jo blow

I agree but I believe in this situation, the decision was already casted by TN of who they wanted. Parker has a list of coaches and teams they tend to work with over and over. If for whatever reason TN can’t get their guy via Parker’s list of clients, then Parker has to go outside their contact lists. If the coach is hired within this week, then TN hired their first pick. If it’s taking longer than a week than TN missed out and we will get an assistant .

So you would only expect Campbell or frost to be here for a year or two? Why would Elliott agree to be a HCIW for a guy that’s likely to here for 5+ years. The idea makes zero sense.

These head coaching speculations are getting wild. NOBODY KNOWS WHO IS BEING TARGETED.
Correct. And these media types writing about who's being targeted are FOS. White isn't going to show his hand to anyone except his inner circle. Guys like Hyams are spitballing. They're trying to get eyeballs on their content.

And that’s why WE haven’t had any success since majors/Fulmer, Fulmer was groomed for the job for over 10 years, if you invest in something eventually good will happen, that’s what wrong with everybody, it’s a now now thing and it can’t be like that, to build long term you have to think long term, shoot even Neyland was groomed by a UT grad, why do you think he gave his all? You need a HC can that get this university through the mess, more than likely they are not surviving it tho so in order to get and keep stability you have to get a HCIW to take over for the coach he picks, White is not an idiot who’ll pick what is fans think he should and he’s definitely think short and long term so if my is so asinine, tell me a better way to do short and long term and bring complete stability to the university under our current situation and this dumb fan base who thinks they have a say so in everything

From that list i bet Tennessee most likely will wind up with Josh Heupel.

Stoerner_fumbles has been spot on and from hint he’s giving considering his inside source has been reminded they have a thing (forget what it’s called) that they have to keep privileged info to themselves so he the only hint he gave led to either Frost or Campbell as top candidates and one coach that has baggage that they can work around but is way down the list, Elliott was not mentioned but has been contacted which tells you he’s either helping in the search or White has something planned for him

I would be pleased as punch if it's Campbell and royally pissed if it's Frost.

That one coach with “baggage” might be Joe Moorhead. He’s the OC at Oregon w/ Cristobal. Moorhead was hired by Parker at Mississippi state. ... there has been rumblings that Cristobal interviewed Steele and Derrick Ansley for DC job. The connections are all there
