I just hope he suffers amnesia and is able to forget the past two years of his career. Come into this season with a blank slate and make some clutch kicks. I have a felling we are going to need him if we want to get more than 8 wins.

Palardy's career field goal percentage is 66.7%. 14 of 21 with a long of 52. Not great, but not as bad as some people seem to think.

In comparison: Daniel Lincoln had a career field goal percentage of 79.7%; James Wilhoit's was 71.95%; Alex Walls posted a 77.9%; and Jeff Hall's was 68.8%.

It's interesting that Palardy's career to this point is just below Jeff Hall percentage-wise. Also of note is Daniel Lincoln's career mark of 79.7%--the highest on the list. I guess it goes to show you that a kicker is remembered most for the big, important kicks that are made or missed.

Palardy also has a rushing average of 16.0, a 50% passing completion percentage, and 1 tackle assist.

And his career punting average is 37.3 with a long of 51.

Hall and wilhoit seemed to get better as their careers progressed. Lincoln and Parlardy seem to only be getting worse.

That's what I mean. They hit those big, important kicks. Jeff Hall in 98 was huge, and his percentage that year was only in the low 70's, but that kick against Florida was immortalized.

In contrast, Lincoln's senior year he hit 90.9 %, but that kick against Alabama...

Also, Palardy and Lincoln's kicks have looked really ugly at times. While the "old boys" on the list had better trajectory from what I remember. Those XPs seemed to go straight up.

Don't tell me... show me. My observation is that good kickers are usually good from the start. Granted he may have been thrown in before he was ready.... but it hasn't been good for him or Darr.
