Palardy (and Darr)...

Not to argue - but this is what he was arguing.

"Look at the difference in the height of the ball as soon as it comes off the foot, really telling imo"

If they are at significantly different frames its not really possible to tell what he was saying.

That may be your arguement, but I'm saying I'm not arguing.

Brodus kicks up, Palardy kicks out, thats why Brodus leg is higher off the ground. The distance between foot and ball isnt that much different in the pics. Sorry I'm just pumping sunshine

Technically no, but over exaggeration of poor performance, true.

Correct, troll.

Then again, while I don't feel confident at all with Palardy attempting a 45 yard kick, it would be utter lunacy to trot Derrick Brodus out for the same kick. At least Palardy could get it there, most of the time.

Lol - Brodus leg is higher in the frame because the picture is taken later - unless you're implying that's as higher as Palardy's leg gets.

I'm not saying he doesn't kick it higher or his leg doesn't go higher - because anyone can see that real time - I'm talking about the pictures you posted... one is at a crappy angle and close up.. the other is at a different angle and zoomed it more.. to make it worse.. they aren't even taken at the same time in their motions.. thus the huge disparity.

Yea, that's why I say lets get the ball in the middle of the field within 30 and send in the brodus. Seems like us getting 3 points is going to be harder than us gettiing 7 points.

Its not the coaches fault. No coach in the world can make me a better kicker. These guys suck but thats all they have to work with.

Yeah, he'd get it there, but it would be 10 yards outside the upright.

It does make me wonder why we do not employ a kicking consultant. I was under the impression that it was a pretty standard practice.

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, but I was under the impression that we could not have a kicking consultant on payroll without having to count him against the # of assistant coaches that we have. I do know I have read on here where there is someone that works with them on a volunteer basis sometimes, and Coiner has experience working with kickers specifically from the NFL

We've had a kicking consultant for the past 20 years before Dooley - they aren't on pay roll but that doesn't prevent them from getting paid.

Can't add much to the discussion here, sounds like every angle is being presented. I met all the kickers/punters today, nice bunch of young men...signed my son's jersey...I'll wait to give 'em he&*, at least 'til fall practice.

It just seems like that's all these kickers do all practice is work on kicking field goals, then get in the game and can't deliver. I just don't understand, is it work ethic, can't handle the spotlight or what?
