Did anyone else notice that they added a 3 yard wide white border along the sidelines last year? I am watching some highlights and noticed how terrible it looked.

This is a video from Ole Miss last year and it looks horrible.

Here is a link from a few years back without it and it looks much better. You will see it when Coker is running to the endzone.

Just trying to get the feel from the masses on this.

Hope the grounds crew has been working on their painting skills all the painted areas on the playing surface looked rough last year.

The ground in general looked pretty ragged last season; there was quite a lot of paint fragments, debris, etc., on the turf. Whatever happened, I hope they've fixed the problem this time around.

Three yard wide white border??? Maybe you meant to say three foot wide border. The pros have gone to it and I would guess the conference has told everyone to use it as well. What it means is if you are in that white zone, lay off!

It was mandated. It keeps sideline players back and makes the OB line obvious to all concerned. It isn't going away.

I saw "boarder" and thought we were going to arena football style walls. That could be tough on a skinny kid like Justin Hunter.

Even if it is mandated, they should use something that doesn't look like sidewalk chalk on grass. Auburn and Arkansas both have painted borders that look nice. Ours looks like it was done on a high school budget.
