The kid has done nothing but work his arse off for the Orange & White since he's been here!! It's his time to show the SEC what he's all about. That tweet made him my favorite player on the team.

Someone needs to get this done, I would but I'm working.

"Most observers seemed to think Poole deserved to be the top backup to senior Montario Hardesy last year, but was stuck behind Brown because of a recruiting promise – or at least some kind of vague, egotistical loyalty to "his guys" – by then-coach Lane Kiffin."

Not gonna get cheated this year Tauren!

I don't get the being a hero for "not quitting" thing.

Maybe it should read "Don't walk off the field like T.O. this year" or "No more excuses for not earning snaps".

With all the questions about BB , I think the guy needs to know we are behind him 100%. Im guilty of falling into the Brown stuff, hell its intresting to say the least. I dont think anyone has said we want Brown over Poole. I know I dont, now....I would like to know what in the hell Brown is thinking. Its 38 days until Poole gets the rock. We need to paint ours for him ! Based on his tweets and facebook, kid is getting doubted. Go Vols !

I'm a Poole fan. I've been telling anyone that would listen that he is going to be a good back here.

However, he walked off the field and was real close to quitting last year.

If he had left, would you all be talking about him like you do Bryce Brown?

That's a good question JG. I personally would not be. I would say, I don't blame him. Although some disagree with me, you included maybe, I still don't think he got a fair shot. People can say he fumbled in practice. Whatever, so did Brown and Oku. Poole is a really good back.

So it's OK for Poole to quit because he wasn't recruited by Kiffin. About what I figured, but just needed confirmation.

As I said in another thread, he has no excuses not to produce now. If you play the BJ Coleman "I didn't get a fair shot" card, you better not lay an egg on the field when you do get your chance.

He's prepared yeah and i think he's a fantastic back. But, youve got to remember this guy nearly quit the team last year.

My memory is not what it used to be but wasn't there a little more to it than him simply getting butt hurt and walking off the field? Seems I remember reading something to the affect Kiffin told him to get off the field. Not trying to defend him just can't remember exactly what happened...

Again my memory fails me but has he ever stated this publicly? Seems like it's mostly others that have felt this way. I've read so many things on here over the last year or so and it's beginning to all run together...

I wonder why it is that Poole was automatically behind Oku on the depth chart last year, but as soon as a new staff comes in Poole is the starter over Oku...

I am not so much worried about BB being ahead of him because I believe he was better, but seeing Oku take more snaps than him last year was questionable at best. I believe Poole had a right to be frustrated last season because the favoritism was obvious even if you try to blind yourself to it.

SGMVols can try to twist it however he wants but when Tauren walked off last year it was with approx 2 min's left in the game. Kiffin himself told him to either sit down and shut up or go to the locker room. TP decided to go to the locker room. Tauren then initiated a meeting with Kiffin on Sunday to talk to him again with regards to playing time. at that meeting Kiffin told him that the depth chart was set and it is what it is.

for all you naysayers out there, Tauren has done nothing to merit any negativity toward him. he was a early enrollee, two time all-academic sec and is on pace to graduate early. he has busted his butt to earn playing time and has done all the things needed to get a chance to prove it and bottom line thats all he's wanted.
