I can't do Utah if i can't try and get my wife buzzed in her snow bunny suit.

Looks like I may try Keystone or Winter Park. Pretty affordable compared to some others and looks like the other to me. Lights, snow, buildings, mountains and lifts

Winter park is closer to Denver.

Look at Arapahoe Basin as well Sparty. You can lodge down at Keystone and go up to A-Basin for a day and get the fam some slope time in an environment that is not quite as bustling as the bigger CO resorts. I lived in Leadville, CO for several years and A-Basin was always my preference out of all of them. Granted I would flip around to all of the others in my constant pursuit of the best powder.

But the Basin is a lot more low key with a good amount of space and varying degrees of difficulty that would be a great place for someone to learn without being intimidated by the size and amount of people on the big resorts. Plus you can drink in the parking lot and no one cares.

Oh and I forgot to mention extremely cheap to ski there if you don't have season passes.

I've done this Colorado trip several times...Flew to Denver, stayed in Dillon (70 miles from Denver), then skied A-basin, Keystone, and Breckenridge...

Like BP said, A-basin is the least congested...

My sister, brother in law and kids go to Park City every year and love it...

My kids at 5-7 are starting to get in the range for thier first ski trip

so my kids are afraid to fly, my wife doesn't really like skiing, and the boys are also afraid they are going to fly off the mountain.

Looks like I may scrap the whole thing
