Pretty much echos my excitement level about the return to physical play. The importance of which, will pay dividends all season long!

I like this:

Whereas other coordinators have preached passing to set up the run and taking what the defense gives (the better to bolster QB ratings and perhaps future job opportunities?), Kiffin's crew will clearly take what they want to take.

...that is exactly the mentality we have been missing the last couple of years.

Maybe we're about to get back to the way it used to be.... we tell the other team where we're going and dare them to stop us.

WoooHooo...that is exactly what I wanted to read about today's scrimmage. Good to hear that Toney Williams looks good....I think he is gonna be a stud. Hot damn, is it August yet?? Go Vols!!!

On one play, linebacker Nick Reveiz wiped out Montario Hardesty after Hardesty was wrapped up low.

The defenders jumped around, celebrating the big hit, but Hardesty shot to his feet and singled first down, and then said as much: "First Down ******'s''

Workin like heck

I just hope Lennon Creer can hold on to the ball. Isnt it odd to hear about Hardesty, Williams, and Poole but no Creer?

He wasn't embarrassed -- it was 8 yards downfield, and he picked up the first down.

It was a good football play by both players.

The only thing they said about Hardesty was Reveiz embarrassing him.

As long as he got the first down, mission accomplished. Not really "embarrassing" to get hit hard when you are already wrapped up by someone else. It is nice to hear that the players seem to be taking on the persona of the coaches....high temp and high energy. I am pumped for April 18th and the O&W game, just got my tickets in the mail!

Lots of things happen between the lines -- certainly not a reflection on any of the young men IMO
