Because given that last 2 games between us you're our lil' prison b*tch?
please explain to me who it was that forced you (PAC 12) to play a 9 game conference schedule ?
and why you now think you have the right to tell us what to do ?
I didn't say anyone "forced" the PAC-12 to go to 9 conference games. So ease up a bit.
I do think it makes more sense to play 9 conference games when you have a 12 team conference. That's primarily so players and fans get to see all conference teams more often.
What is your objection to playing more conference opponents?
you know, they act like the SEC forced them to play a 9 game conference schedule. They decided to do this themselves and now they are complaining that the SEC plays 8.
what a bunch of asshats.
My only objection would be if going to 9 games caused us to have to stop playing Alabama the 3rd Saturday in October every year. This game is an important rivalry game that I absolutely don't want to lose and keeping it hardly makes our schedule easier. Some times Tradition is more important than anything else.
My whole point is what right does the PAC 12 have to complain about us not playing 9 games when no one forced them to play 9 and they can change back to 8 games any time they choose.
More than that they are presenting it as if the SEC is somehow cheating to gain an unfair advantage when it was their choice to play 9 games.
This is what bothers me about it all. It is a misrepresentation of the FACTS so that it looks bad on the SEC and nothing else.
I think one issue is a SEC team can go 2-6 in conference and be bowl eligible with 4 OOC games against cup cakes. Maybe the NCAA should only allow 3 OOC games to count toward bowl eligibility. Then any conference can play 6, 7, 8 or 9 conference games that's their choice.
I'm not sure how increasing to 9 games eliminates rivalry games.
Tennessee played Oregon last year. Oklahoma this year.
Back to your cupcake theory. What was it again?

I agree tenn has a reputation for being willing to play tough Ooc games. Lsu also steps up. But many sec teams historically haven't played tough Ooc games on a consistent basis.
I've said this many times on volnation.
