We all know who the real runner-up was.

Would USC be runner up or 1-loss Stanford in this case? I always thought runner up status was awarded to who had the 2nd best conference record (not just who won the other division)

Once the SEC starts losing a lot of their regional talent, I'll believe it. HS athletes in SEC states account for 1/3 of BCS schollies but those SEC states only account for 1/6 of the nation's population. It's all about the regional talent, and simply put, no other region has the talent we have.

Is that counting Texas? If not it's about to get a lot bigger.

It is amazing how little they are talked about - wonder if it's Kiffin hate. He did a heck of a job this year.

Team that's unranked in the bcs, can't win its conference, and can't make a bowl game isn't going to get a lot of talk...same thing pretty much happened to Alabama during their 2002 season

(their first year under their bowl ban they went 10-3 - with losses to auburn, #2 Oklahoma, and #7 UGA - finished atop the west but due to intelligibility, Arkansas went instead)

no one but no one.. loves college football like the SEC. I travel North America and there are pockets of fans here and there but they do not come close to SEC Football.

Pass the SEC??? //// sarcasm, right? However, with RR @ AZ, UO, WSU, and depending on hires @ ASU, UCLA, PAC-12 offenses should be entertaining and fun to watch...
