Every time I go to Autzen for a game, I get ready to pound my head in out of frustration of talking to a high percentage of people who have no ability to judge or sometimes even understand the game of football. Most of these people also have no connection whatsoever to the University. Mainly just a lot of wanna-be cowboys who decided those gigantic, awful gaudy O's look good on their lifted pickups with $5,000 of suspension mods and not an ounce of dirt to be found anywhere.
Fans around Reser, though there are far fewer on game day, tend to have much more reasonable and rational thoughts on the game. Nearly all of these people are students or alums, and their families.
Droski can probably chime in on this. Having a long futility-stricken program like OSU often makes for a much more level-headed and rational fanbase, at least in this instance. Wish the same were true for Vanderbilt or Kentucky.
There's my smack.
