Anybody else pre-order the new edition of P90X yet? I received an email from Beachbody announcing the release before Christmas. Almost through the 3rd time through P90X, I was getting bored, so I ordered the new edition. I also ordered the new equipment: large ball, 2 medicine balls and foam support for back. They've promised delivery before Christmas. Being 51, I hope I live long enough for it to arrive...

better get yourself a nice pillow for the couch for yourself. that's like telling her she's fat.

she dropped hints about it....it can join the others

She got about 30 Firm tapes and DVD's, P90X, and Insanity
She rotates through different phases of each of them

I'll get it but looks like it requires a lot more equipment than 1

I made it through all but 2 weeks of the p90x program. Managed to hurt my knee. However, with the right modifications, I think that my next cycle won't be so bad. Gotta cut back on the squats on legs/back and just do some more cardio, I think.

That said, insanity was out of control. Couldn't hang. I think it's more of a program for once you're around your target weight. Throwing my extra lbs around was a killer.

One's diet in weight loss is just as important as exercise, if not more important. You can lose a ton of weight with moderate exercise if you're being reasonable with your food choices.

Food discipline goes a long way in weight loss. Tougher proposition than committing to a workout regimen, IMO.

The diet of the P90X program will probably be the most difficult part for you, but will also provide the most benefit.

P90X is a *****...there is nothing fun about it. You won't get up in the morning and go "Hey ! I get to do P90X today!" Having said that, I have not seen a program that will change the way you look more than that one can. You have to survive the first couple of weeks without hurting yourself. That means doing what you can, doing it the best you can and not trying to keep up with the freaks on the videos.

I actually lost weight before I started. I used it to gain about 10 lbs back--which I did.

I did P90x for the better part of 6 months and just started Insanity this morning. The insanity workout (pure cardio and cardio abs) kicked my butt this morning.

Insanity is literally insanity at first. I did it for about 3 months and kinda fell out of it, but I want to get started again. I'd love to do P90x, but how much is it with all the equipment?

Original P90X is about 100 bucks. For a little extra, you can get the bands. I bought a pull up bar for about $40 and have accumulated enough barbells to do all weight lifting. P90X2 looks like it requires a little more equipment. When I factored the hassle of going to and from, and the cost of joining club, I decided I much prefer the home training. P90X is the best workout I've ever done.
