Someone is up early in a PT-17, flying by my home. The sound of its radial engine is unmistakable. I’ve been up in one (the pilot let me fly it for a bit), but the Waco biplane is my favorite. They’re about as pretty a biplane as can be.

A single female hummingbird has possession of my feeder for now. I expect her to have competition, soon.

@NorCalVol67, I will be in Syracuse for a funeral on Friday, August 1. If you have free time and wish to meet me, I could travel to NYC on Saturday, August 2. I would be in a car and in need of a place to park. I’d need to know what area of NYC - LI, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan…
