It's been pine pollen season on the Southern Piedmont for ~ the past two weeks. In number of grains, pine pollen may be deep in the drag, but each grain is like Jupiter is to Mercury in size.

Chance and I hit the pond for a few min after practice yesterday. He caught this on his 1st cast. I hooked 1 other small one and let him reel it in. Last night was his 1st time fishing with an open faced reel. He only tangled it once.
