Overall hype of the '14 class

Struggling to remember if there was a more hyped recruiting class on signing day then this one for us. Its #3-5 by the experts, but this class is incredible. The close knit group these guys are. The talent - legacies. They will supply stardarm and depth..

Whatcha think?

this being said - I still say were a 8 win team at absolute best next year- but this class and another home run next year.. MAYBE NIKE WILL BE PAYIN US A HUNNIT MIL in a few years! Night ya'll:hi:

CBJ on cue said the same thing, this class should not be grade until the 2016 season is OVER. So don't over hype them and add to their pressure :good!:





But I think we have one of the TOP Strength coaching staffs in the nation. :clapping:

If the close knit bonding we are hearing is true then this class could be the best base group ever at any school.I don't think they will let the next class come in and be disjointed.It's looking very special on the hill.Remember when Peyton came in he made the skill guys come out for workouts and watch endless film,this group isn't gonna allow a few knothead's to derail the theme,AHHH it feel's good to be able to relax a lil again!!

A very strong recruiting class! Talent and depth is going to be getting a lot better.

That's at least understandable. Why they would even bring up ND , Oklahoma and Stanford's classes is a bit mystifying. Never mind Kentucky and ...oh is that Tennessee with a top 5 class? blah lets talk about USC blasting through at number 10 ! At the end of the day the rank doesn't mean squat. Let's see the rubber hit the road and forget the fancy mufflers.

This class has character and wants to be the ones who turn things around.

You cant put a star ranking on that.

Drive is a huge deal.

I love the togetherness of this class, that bond will serve them well, but be careful with over projections for the coming season. Just enjoy the ride.

Butch cautioned against expecting too much too soon from this group, yet we have a legion of posters who will demand 8 and 9 wins from this team.

My hype level is as follows.

My birthday is March 9. My wife and my anniversary is May 22. Her birthday is June 17.

I seriously wish that there was a fast-forward button that would get me to the end of August. I can't WAIT for this team to take the field.

With ya. My boss's b-day and anniversary is in May too.

Hate to pile on but dont forget Mothers day is in the middle there somewhere.

We are still several years out from competing for any title

Jones needs to build on the momentum and make a bowl. If not, the ability for other staffs to negative recruit against him will get easier.

You can't continue to promise results and not show any

I dont think many here would demand that this group of freshmen win 8 or 9 this year. I think they do provide some instant depth. Several are going to get some significant playing time....esp the juco's.

This team should be better than last year from a talent standpoint. Add in the fact that the rest of the team should be alot more familiar with CBJ's system.

IMO we should expect a better record than last year.

LOL.....we don't have kids, and I'd sell my mother for a Klondike bar. 'Preciate the reminder, though.....hahahahahaha.

Always been that way! I'm old enough to remember when we were decent in football and the media hated to give "them hillbillies" any credit for anything. Remember the "trailer park trash" comment about UT? In 98 they rooted against us but we were undefeated and they had no choice but to cover us because we got to the NC game. Now the "hillbillies" have a genuine, smart, intune with the kids, well spoken coach who can recruit and we'll see about the on field coaching part, and they still only begrudgingly
mention us. Get used to it cause it will always be that way.
I know we like tradition, but things like new uniform colors and hippty hoppity music that the kids like, changes our image with the recruits which is the way back to the top. Butch seems to know which buttons to push so let's hope he gets the job done cause personally I like him and hope he is hugely successful and stays til he wants to retire.

Contradictory at best. Don't get excited because we are still young and unproven, yet also dog the staff for not getting it done in one year last year with inferior players and talent.
