Over the middle

It seems over the last several years no matter which coaching staff has been in power that TN gets burnt time and time again over the middle. look at yesterday FL did it with no issues at all. Teams pass on us across the middle with ease. Tn on the other hand never hardly ever has thrown much across the middle. Tn has always thrown the sideways passes or the backwards pass. Go all the way back to the Fulmer days he loved the sideline pass. It appears to me that TN throws a backwards pass or a 1 yard pass often and has for years. I know this year we have thrown several and almost all of them have either ended in disaster or could have ended in disaster. One yesterday could have been a disaster but wasn't called a backwards pass.

Yes we like sideline passes... Why? Because it worked perfectly once years ago in a big game.

ILBs having to be involved in the pass rush due to lack of push from Dline and outside backers seem to be opening up the middle. With only one backer in coverage, man coverage appears to be suffering as well...
