texas isn't that great, but they have a very salty backcourt and that means they match up very well with us. we would win a very high percentage of games against that team, IMO

That game was nowhere near an indication of the strengths of either team. Y'all had the late game against a very physical team last night and were clearly tired. Combine that with Texas actually shooting well and you can see how the game could have gotten away. It also helps TX that Pearl is experimenting with different lineups at this point in the season. He'll fix the chemistry, y'all will win the SEC and maybe we'll meet again in the Tourney.

Remember: Two years ago, Texas was a powerhouse with 3 future NBA players. We were playing y'all at home and we got absolutely schooled. Y'all will be fine.

I'd be very, very surprised to see y'all lose more than a handful of games this year.

I don't care what month it is, tonight, this Tennessee team got whipped by 19. They looked reckless, selfish, slow and over-rated.

Very classy and spot on post. Abrams and Augustin are incredible guards. Good luck to you in conference play.

Texas did look very good tonight, especially Abrams and Augustine. We are at a big disadvantage when our pressure isn't very effective.

Augustin and Abrams are ridiculously good. I was very impressed with your team.

It's funny how quick people are to throw the bball team under the bus. We lost to a very good team very early in the season. This game was like a learning experience, and they'll get better from it. I don't think anyone expected them to go undefeated this year.

This sucks. It ruined my night after the most exciting game in CFB this year. But... I wouldn't fret too much at this point. Once Pearl works out rotations and minutes the team can gell better.

I also think it's ridiculous that the basketball game wasn't on the Volnetwork when it started. Why the heck do we have to listen to Fulmer and the call in show instead of the basketball game? No wonder Pearl tries to get a ton of exposure.. his own school will broadcast a post game call in show over his game with two ranked teams.

BB is OK, but FB is King in my home. I wouldn't let a BB game ruin the fact that the FB team is headed to Atlanta. There is just no comparison IMO.:)

its early, I'd rather play bad at the beginning of the year then at the end.

the beauty of the college BB game is everyone has a shot of winning the NC if they make the tournament.

Don't say anything about the Vols BB, I stayed up until 2:00 am defending my remarkes, because no one wanted to hear it...They have a big head and untill they get it out of their a$$es nothing will change....

And it was so early here :) Im still going to argue about the big head comment. Especially since you admitted that you havent even watched the games and based everything off of what you read in a magazine or ESPN

I don't care. It's a post game call in show with some nimrods. Not the actually football game otherwise I'd agree.

This is still a dumb comment.

I supposed Texas shooting lightout had to do with the fact that our players have big heads... ok.

If you really still think Lofton has a big head, well I don't even know what to think about you. Everyone wants him to shoot the ball more but he passes. Just because the team isn't gelling and isn't getting into a rythm doesn't mean that they have an ego problem. I blame a lot of this on Pearl for not having a good rotation going by now.
