However, it really doesn't help as much if u get blown out &/or humiliated while you are trying to rebuild a team. An end win helps more really.

Course though the bowl selection thing also relates just as much to our ticket sale problems this year and the last 2 bowls

you make a good point, but had Jackson not fallen asleep right before the half and Moore not dropped the TD pass the game would have been much closer than the final score indicated.....I still don't think they would have won, but it wouldn't have been a blow out.

What would it have really meant to beat NW.

I liked our draw, we had a chance to get a solid win over a very good team. Just didn't work out.

Apparently there are a lot of Vol fans out there that think Fulmer left the cupboard loaded......I guess that's why 2 walk-ons started all year on the OL and our starting MLB was a walk-on as well......not to mention the number of quality DTs on the roster....

I think a bit more they are a bunch that bought too much into our hype and thought that we were much better than we actually were also

Chizik absolutely sucks. It's his offensive co-ordinator doing the work for him. When Malzhan leaves it will look more like Iowa State with Chizik as coach

Uh, go look at his current recruiting class. I Was one of the folks that slammed Auburn for the hire, I take it back now. He at least, has his team ready to play today.

Yeah, because Tennessee and Auburn both have the same level of talent and depth. Oh and Northwestern and Virginia Tech are obviously equal teams.

You've obviously exited the bandwagon, now leave or get better material.

If we would have lost another game we could have been in the Music City or Independance bowls. That would have been humiliating. We lost to a team that was a top 15 program that has been Built for a long time. They saw us at foundation stage of rebuilding. If we meet Beamer ball in the near future, I see a slobber knocker in a BCS Bowl! keep your heads up!

I met Chizik when he did a golf charity event with a bunch other athletes and coaches. He was defiantly the nicest guy there; he signed autos for an hour and thanked everyone for coming out. Saban on the other hand would not get close to a fan.

Remind me again how many walk-ons or freshmen start (or even play) for Auburn. Chizik took a decent Auburn team and kept them decent. Kiffin took a weak Tennessee team and made them decent.
