12pm kickoff.

competes with 1pm kick of Michigan - Florida in the Citrus, and Notre Dame - Ohio State in the Fiesta.

I'm not b|tching about the bowl, just creating discussion on four premier teams playing at the same time as us.

11am kick, local, for Fiesta Bowl, is ridiculous in itself.

Noon kickoffs for any bowl game sucks. I wish they would start at 2:30 and run throughout the evening.

VOLS are an attractive bowl pick due to fan support/ticket purchase/willingness to travel.

VOLS are not a national "beauty" in terms of viewership. Hopefully, as program continues to improve, we will become part of a national conversation. CBJ is not top tier coaching personality/conversation. Our program will have to, and rightfully so, make the statement on the field.

Yeah, not ideal.

Then again, we're 8-4 and in a New Years Day bowl. That's pretty awesome all by itself. If we gotta take an early start and share time with a couple of other games, it's still worth getting a January bowl. :good!:

I bleed Tennessee Orange so if my Vols footVol team is on the field I'll be watching and cheering them on to another WIN!

Other games means nothing to me.

Besides, there will be Bowl game replays that we can watch then.

Early games do have the benefit of being mentioned and/or having clips shown during halftime reports for the rest of the days games. Its an attractive enough bowl (Jan 1!) and the exposure will be good. Beggars can't be choosers at this point, IMO.

I kind of like having another game on that I am decently interested in. It gives me something to flip to during the commercials.

This is New Years tradition and we are complaining about time? Most everyone has a second TV or a device that you can stream from... utilize them.

It's the only game on for an hour. It's the perfect wake-up game for those groggy from New Year's Eve partying. We'll be there in Sec. 229, wearing Big Orange!

I don't care what other games are on. I'm not a fan of noon kick off though. Hopefully we don't come out flat. If out were up to me nothing would kick off before 3.

Kind of wish we weren't on around the same time as OSU and ND but oh well. Can always watch that one back on YouTube.
