Outalented, Not Outcoached

We lost like all the experts predicted.
The line was 10, UT lost by 10.
I don't see how that is good coaching.

Lots of mistakes by both teams. (Mostly penalties for UF). Oh well, we can only hope Hunter is okay. Arnett did everything you could ask him to do, though. Good for him.

How many "next year" excuses do we need?

We catch up next year. If Hunter wouldn't have went down this is a different game. We probably win. They put double coverage on Rogers after Hunter went out and let White boy play like a girl out there.

We were lucky no to be down 24-0 early. And when it was 30-7 we got a break. This game could have been like 37-14. We showed a lot of guts though. We can't beat Bama or LSU but everyone ealse is beatable for us. We also know our oline can't handle an sec line yet. We learned Bray doesn't seem to anticipate the blitz well and et rattled by it.

First two games brought optimism about the pass blocking and some hope that the run blocking was improving. UF showed both cases wrong. UT's defense is horrific. Tackling has been a problem back to last year. These are coaching shortcomings.

TN was Outrecruited. Where are the playmakers on both sides of the ball? Saban and Cheesesticks had a slew of draft picks on the field by year two.

Because they can cast a net out their office window and land 5* recruits and a top 5 recruiting class.

Our state doesn't afford that advantage. Its always going to be that way until our high school football vastly improves.

Starting the game with screen passes against a hyped up, young defense is a pretty good call.

I'll agree that we lost because of a talent deficit however coaching could've been better.

The O playcalling in the 1st quarter was atrocious and it didn't improve until the end of the 1st half. We are NOT a running team. Stop giving the rock to Poole for runs right up the middle! What kind of strategy is that? Why use our weakness to attack their strength on d-line?

Pass the damn ball downfield. UF had 6-7 PI's with Hunter on the bench. It's obviously their weakness. Attack it early and often. Why do coaches always have to be dragged kicking and screaming toward a pass first offense?

Stone should've been moved to guard/tackle so someone more reliable could hike the ball. Bray performed well in spite of his center tonight. Absolutely no excuse for letting that continue for the entire 2nd half.

Very true. Florida "outrecruits" Tennessee with little to no effort. They have 4 and 5 star recruits placed at their feet every year.

I disagree our D wasn't horrific, yea their were alot of missed tackles but the only reason we were in the game was because of our D

They played with a lot of potential and made youthful mistakes. It was to be expected. They aren't good, but they are improving every week.
