out of nowhere: Jacob Carter

I noticed him in the O&W game last spring. He looked good for a walk on. He did drop a pass that would have been a touchdown. Abrederis (SP) at Wisconsin is a walk on. He isn't nearly as talented as him, but anytime you can get production out of a walk on, even if it's a scrimmage, it can only help.

I do think the whole stigma of our state being terrible at putting out legit talent is a little overstated. It's no georgia, but it's better than people make it out to be

. . . but where did Carter come from and at what point do we have to start taking him seriously?

Reading he does his damage against the 2s and 3s. People like his production, but think he will be buried behind the WR class we have joining us this summer.

Sadly, Carter's performance may tell us more about our talent and depth in the secondary. Good news is that we have help on the way there as well.

This. Alot of people can have big days vs the Teagues of the world, we need Bonner to come in and be as advertised. Also looking more likely that we will need CP to come in and be as advertised. I was hoping Dallas would really step it up this spring and could be that third wide reciever while patterson adjusts, but he has seemed to be rather quiet.

With the production he has had, when things get cranked up in the summer, he will get plenty of opportunity to continue to prove himself. He is climbing the ladder.
