It may not be the ideal practice but he's not wrong.

In any social group, you'll always have certain%s of people motivated/driven by different things. Some want to be loved. Some want to be recognized. Some just want paid. Some want to do well enough to not be called out either way. A coach/boss/leader needs to know this and have the skills to work with all types.

So you really don't know, what I heard was "the right way to play" a lot of difference than "need new players to win". Since we are all assuming on here let's assume stupid personal foul penalties at critical times is a very good reason to make that statement.

Don't mind what he said at all and it's true. Players say it as well. Kids that want to play will see their opportunity to play early at TN and take it. Others will be passed by. It is what it is.

A coach speaking poorly about his current players not being good is never a good thing. Those players will make up the majority of the team for 2 more seasons. Nobody expected a win today. However, we can still win a few more games and make a bowl which would be a solid season. Saying we can fix this or clean up that is fine. Saying we are just gonna suck until I get better players isnt the mindset these guys need the next 5 weeks.

Because the team acts like they’ve never been there before (work hard to win, regardless who is the opponent). Part of changing the culture and we are not owning our house.

The players made a LOT of mistakes which were inexcusable, the kind of pathetic play expected of peewee league. Sure there was some good, hard play out there. But I do not recall ever seeing the level of stupid that is on our team. I don't blame Pruitt for ripping them.

Did I take a nap and miss the Second Coming? Didnt realize we had Christ playing QB for us. Hes obviously lost a few steps in the past 2,000 years to only be able to score twice on Bama.

To be fair all we really know from scripture is that He’s a wrestler. I would be surprised if Christ played QB. I see Him better suited for linebacker.

I do not have a problem with the statement. My problem is that Alabama is still allowed to recruit. If they could just miss one cycle maybe everyone would have a chance.

You have to have a great coach, first and foremost. A great coach can make something out of nothing. The kids on this team had offers all over the place. His job is to make them proud that they chose UT
