Out coached.

Nope

Meyer is 1-1 vs Houston Nutt. He has a winning record against every coach in college football except Tommy Tubberville.

Coaches who Kiffin doesn't have a winning record against:
1. Neuheisal
2. Meyer
3. Chizik

Not a good start Lane. He has brought a lot of attention to UT though. I must have seen the losses to UCLA, FL, and Auburn dozens of times on ESPN. That's national TV!!!

Hey Lane it's a lot easy to look good in the off season when your not playing any games. Have fun going 4-8 this year. (assuming you can beat Memphis and Vandy- if you can lose to Wyoming at home you can lose to anyone)

1-1 is not a winning record, you freaking fool. Stop posting here. You just make your Gator friends look even worse.

Implying that Meyer is in the same boat as Chizik when it comes to coaching?

No. Meyer is much better, but they do have similarities. Both are 1-0 vs Kiffin. Both keep their mouths shut in the offseason and let their play do the talking, both were good hires by their universities, and they both have read the NCAA rulebook. Also both will have winning records this year.

The best team you've ever fielded lost to a team that was *****-slapped by Vanderbilt. Go spank it to someone else's site.

Good. Now follow their example and STFU.

I'll add another similarity for you. Both will have their season end with a loss to Bama. Enjoy that.

Our OL is probably the worst in the conference. The DL is middle of the pack. The linebackers are down there. Not sure about the receivers, but none of them have ever done anything. It's not a great sign when your leading receiver didn't have a single catch last year. The QBs are by far the worst in the conference and quite possibly the worst in the nation. Kiffin is bringing a knife to a gunfight in most games.
Fulmer left the cupboard stripped bare, huh? Look, it's all about JC at this point. Plain and simple. I know that seems simplistic, butv there is an easy fix. I NEVER want to see a kid coddled like this again. Maybe if they made him WORK for it. This is not fair to ANYONE

Tell me what it is, please. Nick Stephens freaking sucks. He is not a fix.

what's your reason for being here? I'm actually trying to figure it out

I am here to help. I told you all last week that Auburn was going to win, but no one wanted to listen. You guys remind us so much of us when we hired Ron Zook. We loved his energy and recruiting. Three 7-5 seasons later we ran him out of town (despite getting the #1 recruiting class). I wish someone would have told me at the time how foolish we were to believe the hype. I am here to help. Lane is not the answer. Yes he will get a great recruiting class this year (he's in a unique situation to promise playing time, because he hasn't made any promises to Fulmer's kids), but he can't coach. He doesn't have the experience. This "on the job training" is a slap in the face to your once mighty program. You guys got WAY too excited in the offseason. I am here to give you guys a much needed dose of reality.

PS
I'll save you all a lot of heart ache over the years because I respect your passion for the vols:

2009- 4-8 (top 5 recruiting class)
2010- 7-6 (top 30 recruiting class)
2011- 8-5 (Kiffin gets fired for going 19-19 in 3 years)

If you guys actually hire a proven winner with experience as your next coach then, and only then will your program be BACK.

Your welcome.

you should quit thinking you're funny or smart. You're neither and really aren't adding much to a reasonable conversation

I saw no problem with the play calling on offense! The problem is in the execution. Who knows what other plays CLK would have called had we been able to complete passes to wide open receivers. Maybe he would have turned MH & BB loose and ran it down their throat if we were up by 7-10 pts.

Saturday, the only thing worse than our offense was having to listen to the play by play from Bob Kessling.

This is retarded. If you have a left tackle who cannot block the guy who is rushing against him one on one you do not repeatedly let him try while your quarterback gets sacked. Sure, after the fact you can say "Well we assigned that guy to block him, he has to block him" but as a coach it is your damn job to give that guy some help and take the pressure off him if you don't have anyone else who can do the job better.

Crompton is that left tackle. He's the best we have, but he sucks ass. So instead of running this conventional offense where he is expected to convert these third downs with his arm, we need to do something different. If that means run the ball more than we currently are, fine. If that means run the wildcat some, fine. Whatever it is, the answer is not to continue to put the success or failure of our offense on Jonathan Crompton's shoulders. The coach cannot say "Well, he needs to execute better and be more accurate" when there is no evidence to anyone that he is capable of doing either of those things.

The people who have just decided to accept this painful, ridiculous piece of crap we currently have masquerading as an offense need to get their heads examined.

If I were a highly touted player w/ NFL aspirations, would I want to go to a team that runs a pro-style O or to a team that runs a razzle, dazzle, glorified high school offense?

And there you have it folks.. That is why urbie's days of recruiting ALL the 4 stars are over. If I was an 18 year old high school stud and Coach Kiffin walked in and told me "I know what the NFL wants.. and how to get YOU there.." versus urban meyer's " I know how to win NCAA championships".. well I know where I'd go.. but that's just me.

That's why Florida wins. Because they get kids who want to win championships and in doing so they get drafted (See Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, J. Moss, D. Harvey, etc, etc.)

The type of kid who only picks a school to get to the NFL and doesn't care about winning in college will do just that: lose in college.

PS
If I were a kid, I wouldn't want to get booed at home every home game. I would also like to score points on offense and not have a losing record.

Seriously? Wow! Funny to see all the bandwagon fans go, they jump off just as fast as they jumped on! It's easy to see that the play calling is there, they are finding the holes in the defense. You can blame Kifin for having to play the hand he was dealt!

If the quarterback cannot execute the play, it doesn't matter if it is the best play in the history of football. You run a play he can execute. Period. End of discussion. It doesn't matter how many beautiful route combinations CLK draws up, if the quarterback is incapable of getting the ball to those receivers we'd be better off doing something else. That is the whole point of this discussion. That isn't anyone jumping off the bandwagon, or asking for Kiffin to be fired. That is us as fans asking for a little creative utilization of our roster so that the kid doesn't crater two consecutive seasons. Get it?

If you aren't frequently booed, it's because no one sees you. You suck at life.

1. UCLA
2. AUBURN
3.?

Who's next? I will admit, I have one leg off the train. I'm not impressed. I've never in my life seen a coach so stubborn and full of himself. I just don't get it.

I will say this, he is losing the fan base fast. REAL FAST

You are an idiot.....but I'm sure you are aware by now.

So you pick us to win the East. Cool. Thanks. This East race used to be a lot tougher. Thanks again.

Yes I did pick UF. But the more amazing thing was that you were able to figure that out on your own. Might also take note that you won't be winning the SEC, in case you couldn't figure the rest of my post out.
