I'm not that informed about Auburn football but two coaches have gone undefeated there and both of them resigned. I get the feeling Tubberville like Bowden "resigned" because the AD doesn't have a spine when it comes to dealing with boosters. I might be wrong. It's just an observation.

Chris Scott and Montario Hardesty...That is it...Two Walk-ons in the offensive line..Aaron Douglas will be a future AA..SOMEDAY...Brandon Warren and Gerald Jones are headcases...Hancock is from Florida and wasn't even recruited by any of the Florida schools...Richardson and Teague are undersized...Crompton is the WORSE quarterback in UT history...

We haven't got a kicker who can get it to the ENDZONE..can't wait for Parlady to get here...It takes STUDS up front and at MLB to run Monte's scheme...We have a 234 lb DE in Chris Walker who has a broken bone in his back..Williams is 245..That get's you steam rolled in the SEC...and we have NO DEPTH..

Nick Reveiz was a walk-on at MLB but was smart...we miss him..playing freshmen..and no depth behind them..

Monte is holding this thing together with duct tape and bailing wire..that is it...He was calling timeouts down in the redzone because we were gassed and he held AU to FG's because the offense kept going 3 and out..

Hang on guys..better days coming..THE GLASS IS HALF FULL..Didn't think CLK was gonna turn this thing around over night did you?..

For all you arm chair know it alls that have the audacity to criticize Kiffin, take a trip to wikipedia and check out his resume at USC. He's already proven his worth as a recruiter at UT. when he gets his own players UT will be playing for national titles instead of appearances in the Liberty bowl.

yes we must give kiffin more time.but here are the things i wished he had done.

1.hire guz(auburns offense cord) when he was doing the interviewing,ive been impressed with him ever since he was at arkansas.
2.name bj coleman the starter. im not the most football savy person but i thought bj looked the best in the spring game.
3.hire trooper taylor back. trooper
just seems to be a awesome recruiter and coach. he would have fit in perfect with the new staff.
even with those mistakes hopefully with time we are on the right track back to the top..

Maybe, I just wish he would at least give Nick a chance to at least prove us wrong.

We must hang in there as Volnation and here in Alabama that is getting tough.

I think we are not playing into to Crompton's strengths, he looks good throwing the ball down field. the intermediate stuff is what gives him fits. He is a long first QB to get confidence up. we only go deep when we are behind. Hardesty is one of the toughest backs we have had to have 8 guys in the box and he still gets down.

We are now in a position where we have nothing to loose so hey lets open up this qb position and lets attack on offense instead of playing to keep a loosing game close.

If I were a highly touted player w/ NFL aspirations, would I want to go to a team that runs a pro-style O or to a team that runs a razzle, dazzle, glorified high school offense?

I thought Lane's halftime adjustment to switch to a different sweatshirt was brilliant.

Lane's game plan for the UGA game:

Stop the team bus near a fountain to drop a few pennies in on the way to the stadium.

Place a big ladder outside the UGA locker room, so their players have to run through as they take the field.

With coaching like this, UT will be back REAL soon. This Lane is a genius who knows exactly what he is doing.

Good post. Sadly, many of our fellow fans think this team should be undeafeated. They are the same ones who do not understand why Phil was asked to leave. I think many are Fulmer fans who want say "I told you so". Another thought that makes me shudder is what this team would like if Phil was still at the helm.

Meyer is 1-1 vs Houston Nutt. He has a winning record against every coach in college football except Tommy Tubberville.

Coaches who Kiffin doesn't have a winning record against:
1. Neuheisal
2. Meyer
3. Chizik

Not a good start Lane. He has brought a lot of attention to UT though. I must have seen the losses to UCLA, FL, and Auburn dozens of times on ESPN. That's national TV!!!

Hey Lane it's a lot easy to look good in the off season when your not playing any games. Have fun going 4-8 this year. (assuming you can beat Memphis and Vandy- if you can lose to Wyoming at home you can lose to anyone)
