Out coached.

Ugh, the only thing I'm getting impatient with is people acting like Neyland is burning down. We have the best coaching staff in the country. We have a young team with the worst QB is college football. Rebuilding takes patience

Cant wait to see what you Kiffin haters are saying in the next couple years! Gimme a break, I think CLK is doing an amazing job with what he has! He has the same crap we had last year from a losing team, give him time to get his guys in here. He hasnt been out coached by anyone, the other teams have better talent. We've lost 3 games by a combined total of 18 points, thats less than a TD per game. Pretty much, if we had a QB this year, we are sitting at 4-1 and you haters arent even talking this BS! Quit bashing a staff that is recruiting better than PF ever did and give them time! He's coached for 5 games for cryin out loud.

Sorry if it's already been addressed, but UT threw 43 passes versus 29 rushing attempts in the Auburn game.
Why in the world is Kiffin playing to our weakness (pass game/QB play)? I know we were forced to pass more in the fourth quarter to make up the late deficit, but Kiffin should not have called pass plays so often early in the game. Our run game averaged 5.2 yards per carry! Did Kiffin not learn from the UCLA, Florida and Ohio games?

The play by play for our first drive says it all (not a run after the Nukeese's wildcat play):

1st-10, Tenn35 14:53 N. Richardson rushed up the middle for 41 yard gain
1st-10, Aub24 14:30 J. Crompton passed to Q. Hancock to the right for 2 yard gain
2nd-8, Aub22 13:45 J. Crompton incomplete pass down the middle
3rd-8, Aub22 13:40 J. Crompton incomplete pass to the left
4th-8, Aub22 13:35 D. Lincoln missed a 39-yard field goal

not ready to lead.

Give me a break, go away you fair-weathered losers.

All these idiots have no understanding of how college football is played. Have no idea what goes into a week of preparation to get ready for Saturday. I also agree with the above posters that u spoiled disgusting losers should not be allowed back into the volnation when we start kicking ass as soon as next year, possibly 2. U r bandwagon fans that would do better cheering for the team du jour. Enjoy, u morons.

These people that bash Kiffin are crazy, he has no QBS, OL is the WORST in the sec, D-LINE has no depth, LBS are very young and inexperienced! His play book is so limited with what we have at QB its killing him. Give him three years and UT will be booming! The man can coach, just give him time!!!!

I am sorry Kiffin like Obama can do no wrong. Kiffin walks on the Tennessee River in his spare time. It's sad to not be able to see that, just don't be whining when it keeps being the same product as we saw last night. Kiffin is a terrible coach.

If we can score 28 points a game we are undefeated this year. We have no QB(not much in WR either) which in a very large sense means we have no offense. Get a clue.

why dosnt auburn have to wait 2 or 3 more years ?

bottom line, looks like cheesehead was a better hire.

How many times do I have to say this? Florida was your superbowl. Your team prepared all offseason for that game, and you're never gonna look as good as you did in that game.

isnt this why we hired the usc offensive guru, turn water to wine.

What I saw last night were players being in place to make plays, but they just weren't capable of making them. It looked like the staff had them set up to make the play on offense and defense, but the talent level just isn't getting it done. Time and again Rico takes a bad angle or it looks like he closes his eyes waiting on the impact and ends up barely touching the guy. Even Eric took some bad angles last night. We had people running open on offense and either the ball was too high, too hard or behind and many times it was all three together. When it was on target then it was dropped way too many times. All this is to say I think this shows that the coaches know what they are doing, we just don't have the folks to get it done.

Yep. He took a team that beat our last year by 2 points and beat this year's team by 3 points. He's light years ahead.

Saban went 6-6 his first year with a loss to Louisiana Monroe!!! Now look at them:yahoo:.. Look what fulmer left us with:bad:. Give kiffin time
Fulmer's recruits = Crompton and Stephens BLAH

As for what he left us on OL: We've got two walkons and a tight end that have started

Class of 2006 Recruiting Rankings:
Tennessee - 23rd:ermm:
Class of 2008 Recruiting Rankings:
Tennessee - 35th:unsure:
Carson Anderson, 2 star son of a booster that will never play at this level. Preston Bailey, admitted to quitting because practice was too hard:mf_surrender:. Dallas Thomas, not sure what to think of him yet. That's the OL class Fulmer was going to bring in after a terrible OL sank the 2008 season.
In addition, our 2007 class was ranked 3rd with 32 prospects. However, 11 of those guys are no longer with the team:salute: -- and one other 5 star prospect, Chris Donald, is buried on the depth chart:banghead2:.
2007
Cody Pope, one of only two OL we signed in 2007, when we appeared to have a lot of recruiting momentum. Doesn't look like he can play at this level:huh:. Darris Sawtelle was the other guy we signed that year and he will never play football again due to injuries some of which I'm pretty sure occurred in high school:whatever:.
2006
Ramone Johnson, got the boot for drugs:question:. Darius Myers left because he couldn't hack it. Jaques McLendon, he's been a good one for us this year. Wish he wasn't graduating. We also brought in three star Jarrod Shaw, who's currently getting PT.
To help out that crew, we've moved William Brimfield and Vlad Richard from the DL to the OL. Vlad has certainly done well. Additionally, Aaron Douglas has moved from TE and shows some promise. The walk-on Sullins brothers have also played admirably:superman:. I may have missed someone, but that's pretty much our OL depth right there.

Fulmer went all on rankings.. This staff evaluates each and every recruit!

u guys r stupid how can u give up on somebody in there first year, with the talent we have i wouldnt care if we had another 5-7 season give him time a he will develop UT into a power house . so calm down and watch its only a matter of time

amen brother, sing it from the mountain.

That Kiffin Koolaid really clouds one's judgment doesn't it? You're forgetting home-field advantage in your equation. Auburn won at home last year on its way to a miserable 5-7 season. This year, Auburn beat UT in front of a hostile crowd on its way to a 5-0 start. I’d call that an significant improvement (especially compared with Kiffin’s “improvement” over Fulmer).

And let’s not get caught up with the 3-point differential of last night’s game; the game wasn’t nearly that close. Or, does Kiffin Koolaid cause one to celebrate 10-point “moral victories” against UF? Or, better yet, does it cause on to go for meaningless 2-point conversions just to get the score slightly closer while still recording the “L”?

7-18 -- the enormous white elephant in the parlor room.

Go pull for Louisville when Fulmer is coaching there next year.
