Beginning to look that way. If Dooley doesn't elevate his recruiting effort this year, you are probably right. Why should UT support Dooley through the years it will take for him (and staff) to build "street cred" with prospects?

Some of you guys... I just saw a team full of freshman and sophs, scare the bejesus out of a team loaded with playmakers and upperclassmen. Oregon will probably end up winning the Pac 10 and could play for the NC. Does it suck that the wheels fell off? Yeah, but there were only about 6-7 key plays that made the difference. In two years these kids will be on the distributing end of the ace kicking. Some of you guys suck.

I also believe we will get better each week. Oregon just wore our defense down. We have no depth and if we face another team that plays as fast as Oregon does, the same thing will happen. They ran a play every 22 seconds!! We had the ball longer than they did. We got tired and got beat up on the 2nd half. We also made some very stupid mistakes. I can't decide if I like Simms or not. I am thinking not!!

So now we're bragging about "scaring" a team for a half?

All that being said. Simms doesn't see it. If Bray can make plays we should go ahead and put him out there for OJT with all the rest of the pups. There were several plays where 2 guys were wide open and Simms didn't see it. I don't know at this point if he ever will.

Not bragging. Stating the truth. Will hiring another coach add experience points to the team or something. No the team came out prepared. Oregon (as a team this talented, deep and experienced, and well coached should) found our weaknesses and exploited them. The biggest being at QB.

im sick of being hopeful, im going a 10 year plan.....we will be in Atlanta within 10 years, we have a long way to go.

Whats really frustrating, is that... how did South Carolina pass us in talent and rankings, Georgia is ahead, and Florida is out of reach for the moment (talking talent). Did Fulmer really set us back that bad??

Yeah he did and some people are pushing for him to be AD. It isn't looking to promising my friend.

It comes down to whether or not Dooley can recruit. The game plan was definitely solid, but you can't win with half an offense.

Our young team was prepared tonight and held their own against a team who should've slaughtered us out of the gate. Eventually our depth got to us and we didn't respond to adversity which is part of being inexperienced.

I will say if we don't win at least 8 next year i will consider it a huge disappointment. We will still be young but second half depth shouldn't be such a critical issue.
