is kinda lousy...They are so original..does anyone else agree? I mean, the newspaper and sayin sucks is really old..and of course..the bullsh*t chant is way out of date too..With all those people we need to have more creative thinking and some better chants! I didn't hear one thing directed at Bradys big cheeks tonight....

Although i did see someone holding a picture of Brady and a chipmonk and it said twins at the top of it..got a good little laugh out of that.

The bull**** chant is way out of line. We are no better than Florida when we do that kind of crap.

In high school if a guy on the other team had gelled hair we'd say:

RICO!!! Then the rest would say SUAVE!!!!!

Yeah lame in writing but we got in many players heads my 4 years there. Many mothers getting pissed and finger waving, many players talking crap to us instead of paying attention to the game. We had many others but that had to one of the most original.

Then when I got to the JUCO level we almost got in 3 fights with actual players. It was great and the players loved us for it.

In college this one guy had a patchy nasty beard. I wouldn't call it a beard just sporadic hair, anyway at the half we had one guy run back to our apartment and grab everyones Mach 3's and shaving cream and gave him hell the 2nd half.

Great stuff, a guy with a girly name is a good target. I'll take a look at Vandy and see what I can work with.

I have to say that I agree our student section needs to step it up like our program is trying to do. The university has provided the nice students section. A possible solution may be to for a student athletic fan councel and have applications for the positions and then vote on the councel and leave it up to them to come up with their game performance.

Well this guy.....

...should be an easy target for next game. He also called Pearl an a**hole, for his antics at the womens game.

Part of the problem too is the culture at the arena. The police and ushers at the gate do not allow students to being signs or things like that into the game. Occasionally you will have one snuck in by someone, but as far as props and signs, they are not allowed in for some reason.

I do agree though, the chants need to get MUCH, MUCH better.

Anyone remmeber Brad Hillschier from Maryville.

He came and played against us after it was known he was going to UT to play football. We laid into him pretty good about his below average basketball skills, but in the end wished him luck at football at UT because we all were UT fans.

I seriously could sit and talk about raising hell at basketball games all night.

Foul Shot Goggles is another good student section thing.

Everyone brings the biggest, dumbest, god-awful looking eye protection and wears them only on foul shots. Stupid, Yes, Funny, Yes.

Another thing that is kinda lousy is seeing groups of empty orange seats all through the arena while the students are full and standing. I keep hearing how the students need to step it up but that section seems to be full every time while the upper deck is a library, expecially at the baselines.

We can't fill up the arena every night...I know that i'm there in my seat every home game. Plus the students are suppose to be full..Its a student section. All i'm sayin is they need to come up with some new stuff.

Btw, why do they have them on side? Why not put them behind the other goal too?

I use to love going to HS games where they list the players names and numbers on the wall. It made heckling so much easier. I can't tell you how many times we had people coming into the stands when the game was over and having to be dragged off by their coaches. When our third stringers went in (who were all white) The students would chant Caucasian invasion

I also forgot about the time an opposing player had "failed" the SAT and couldn't take a scholarschip so of course our student section made SAT signs, "How do you spell failure? Insert players name", etc

Against Florida, whenever a gator scores maybe we should throw rocks at them. :dunno:
