Our starting five next year?

This would just be wishful thinking on my starting five. Not criticizing JaJuan or Duke just want to see McClain and Tatum be as good as Lofton and Durant. Everyone has a wish list.

Hey, JaJuan may be my favorite player, but if Tatum can put up Rashad McCants-type numbers, then put him in. But, the problem is, I can't thin k of a 6'5 SF who has had a major impact on his team as a true freshman since 5 years ago.

McClain is nowhere near the level of Durant. Offensively, he is a taller version of Duke. Defensively, they are are about the same. Duke also has a year of college ball under his belt. And Duke also has a more SEC ready body.

Few people are near the level of Durant. If we had someone like Durant and Lofton on the same team, we might as well make our reservations for where the Final Four is next year.

Don't forget Steven Pearl at forward.

Prince will have to play forward, at least some, if he wants to play at all next year.

Starting 5:
PG-Ramar Smith
SG-Chris Lofton
SF-Jujuan Smith
PF-Duke Crews(PF on D, C on O)
C-Wayne Chism(C on D, PF on O)

2s:
PG-Jordan Howell
SG-Josh Tabb
SF-Cameron Tatum
PF-Anthony McClain(PF on D, C on O)
C-Ryan Childress(C on D, PF on O)

Others:
PG/SG/SF-J.P. Prince(likely SF)
C-Brian Williams

Williams will probably redshirt and McClain isn't a Vol yet. I think McClain and Crews are a better fit at PF on defense because of weakside defense while Childress and Chism are better fitted at PF on offense because of outside shooting.

You stole exactly what I was going to post concerning Crews and Chism. They wil both start. But, they will play different postions on different ends of the floor. Chism will always guard the other teams "big" and not Crews. But, on offense Crews will be the one that never leaves the paint area unless he is setting a screen. Chism will step out and shoot the 3 ball some. The only problem is that if we want to start those two then we MUST improve our depth along the front line. Either, Williams will have to come in much, much better shape than we anticipate or McClain must sign and mature very quickly.

P.S. You people that are suggesting that JuJuan Smith not start next year are cracking me up. He will be on the All-SEC team next year and you dont think he should be in our starting lineup? Haha...
