Our schedule...

My wife had the best analysis I've heard in a while. We play roughly 17 or so freshmen every week. This time last year they were in high school. Aside from UTM and UAB, every team we've played has got some serious NFL prospects. That said, she put it like this, "It's like a high school team playing in the NFL." --- Marriage validated with that comment

Good analogy, except that if an NFL team played a HS team, there wouldn't be enough ambulances on standby.

with the exception of 2 years we also always ended up wining 8-9- or 10 games a year. Its easy to forget when you win 6 or your last 7 games and go to a decent bowl. Its harder to forget when we either dont go to a bowl or go to a bad bowl.

lets face it if Phil doesnt leave we still have atleast a 8 win season...hahahahahahaha less turn over and depth issues
Doubt it very seriously. Phil never could coach and now he wouldn't have the talent to backdoor his way into SEC championship games.

It has been brutal. It is also going to be varying degrees of brutal from 2011-2019. I don't think anything is set beyond that, but I'm predicting more brutalness in the roaring '20s.

Look for salutethehill Jr. to be the starting QB in the early part of the roaring 20s. At the zoo last weekend:

His little bro (next to him) was built, mentally and physically, to be a LB. At this point, it's more mentally, but he'll knock sth Jr. (who's twice as big) on his butt.

At this point it will not matter who we play until we get our defensive secondary (Linebackers playing zone included) figured out.

If I see one more 5-10 yard hitch play on 3rd down get converted my brain might explode. I am considering making a compilation video that shows how many times we have been burned on the same play over and over.

...has been absolutely, 100% B-R-U-T-A-L.

And who saw Oregon being the machine they are? I mean, I knew they would be good-top 10 good-sure. But to be smokin' dem fools the way they are? Impressive.

They are definitely one of the top teams in the country and have been all year. However, they have a TOUGH last 5 games of the season:

USC
Washington
Cal
Arizona
Oregon St.

I personally think they drop a game. This year may be "different", but everyone on here knows how hard it is to win a NC -- you need not only talent, but a few bounces to roll your way as well.

who has said that? Would love to see a quote

No quote, was merely making an observation of many people's acceptance of being destroyed while holding tight to the delusion that Dooley has this under control and we're not falling further and further into the abyss.

We don't get blown out and Fulmer 8-9 wins??? here is his last season's results
L UCLA 27-24
W UAB 35-3
L Florida 30-6
L Auburn 14-12
W Northern Illinois 13-9
L Georgia 26-14
W Miss St 34-3
L Bama 29-9
L USC 27-6
L Wyoming 13-7
W Vandy 20-10
W KY 28-10

Got blown out by FL, Bama and USC. Lost to a bad Auburn and UCLA team. Got completely embarrassed by a god awful Wyoming team.

This is a program which was going down hill for a long time. Fulmer had a losing season in '05 & '08. '07 was a fluke and we sneaked into the SECCG after getting blown out to FL 59-20 and AL 41-17. We squeaked by a bad Vandy and KY team 25-24 and 52-50. Not to mention getting smacked down by Cal in the opener

This is a rebuilding program. Get used to it for a few more years. NO COACH would have us winning this year.

At least for me, that isn't the issue. The issue is which coach would have us winning in the next few years.

Winning 8 of 12 games is like going 6-3 in the old days. Maybe you are happy with that kind of mediocrity but most of us aren't. 3 of Fulmer's 8 or 9 were always against Ky, Memphis and Candy... and too many times we got killed on those New Year's Day bowl games...Nebraska, K-State, Clemson, and Maryland come to mind.
