Only 8 losing seasons since 1960?
(by my count) IMO that's not bad, add in a couple of .500 seasons that's not bad at all.

Only 8, WOW I knew we are not use to losing, this really speaks for itself, I also knew we have one of the top records too, but we are up there on national championships, but WOW 8 losing season in 50 years, thats amazing.

Some pretty poor character in the fan base during the early 60's. Probably had something to do with the widespread use of hallucinogens, marijuana and LSD.

The question is, why the poor character from fans in the 00's? Bush administration, maybe?

We don't get to play all UAB-type teams anymore. We actually have to play a real schedule with top-25 teams littering the schedule.

Not really; we were rarely ranked during most of that era because our schedule was soft most of that era.

Why do people assume that just because one isn't ready to fire the entire coaching staff after four games that they are accepting losing?

I don't like it in the least, but I can also see reality and there is no need to expect this team to play like the late 90s or get upset when they don't. Good lord, the 05 or 08 team is probably 2 touchdowns better than this team.

If it's late 2011 or 2012 and we still look like this, then that's a different story. But as of now, it is what it is and you just have to grin and bear it.

no.

i would be all butt hurt that you are in the situation you are in. that would tick me off.

seeing something go wrong that has nothing to do with talent would tick me off. as an example i have heard tennessee has had problems with getting 11 men on the field. that would tick me off.

if i were a tennessee fan, my anger would be at mike hamilton for hiring lane kiffin. lane kiffin for leaving. and phil fulmer who is still clueless that he played a role in this.

those are the people responsible for putting tennessee in the predicament they are in. not the current coach. not the players.
