I think our RBs will be under pressure to perform now. Hardesty, Creer, and Poole. It won't be the same three yards and a cloud of dust routine this year. Also it won't be any of that running with your head down doing spin moves. You will have to make plays. So this is my anaylsis:

M.Hardesty- Improve on vision, patience, and hands. Also get in the weight room and work so that your not on the IR.

Lennon Creer- Improve your hands, play and run with authority, come with the attitude that you want the starting job and that you won't let anyone else outwork you for it.

Poole- I haven't seen enough out of him. Not my type of back but he's okay. Hope he proves me wrong.

Creer should be starting next year unless one of the incoming guys is above and beyond. My big flaw with creer is that it appears he lacks that top end speed. Other than that, i think he will flourish. Hardesty should be 3rd and short and goal line. he does not have the vision to be an everydown back and he is not a good pass blocker at all. id love to see oku as the change of pace. Speed has to be on the field and the only backs who have track speed would be oku and giles. maybe thigpen also here and there. poole i think gets lost in the shuffle. i like him but he looks small and a step slow.

I think if we keep Thigpen on O he'll be a matchup nightmare like Brandon James for Florida. He would be great return punts and Kicks for us.

I keep hearing that Bryce Brown (#1 RB & #10 overall player) is still looking around. I understand he is verbally committed to Miami, but the fact that he is still looking and we know have Kiffen, I like our odds. If we were able to get him along with Giles and Oku, you link them with Creer and we have a stable of RB's to rival anyone

I like what Kiffin did with the running game in Oakland, his backs had a downhill running style that could also make people miss. I hope he can get that out of Creer and Hardesty.

If we got brown, oku and giles plus williams and thigpen, that would be the best group of running backs EVER put together in one class. Rb's want the ball now and do not want to wait their turn. We will be throwing the ball a lil bit also next year.(with some success) Not enough footballs for that many RB.

We'll see 2 backs in Kiffin's system. It was that way at USC, would have been that way at Oakland (if given time) and will be that way here.

I think we'll see Creer and possibly Giles. They're both physical with Creer having a bit more size and Giles having more speed.

Doubt that we'll get that many backs. Also thigpen may be moved to CB so that would eliminate one. Williams will be our athletic fullback that causes big matchup problems that's two. Giles is so hollywood don't know if we'll get him. Brown probably won't be a Vol. And Oku will be the man here. I see him as our Demarco Murray. Maybe not as fast but he has similar skills.

Thigpen should move to DB. Oku will start in a couple years, maybe he can be the KR, PR.

If Hardesty can't keep healthy, I believe Creer will start. They are both about even to me. Both have promise to break the game wide open. Poole will be a force eventually

Did Giles come back?

I really expect us to follow the same model as a Reggie Bush/Lendale White type of 2 back system that they had at USC, which I am a big fan of. We haven't had a contrast in styles like that in a long time. That kid Toney Williams on GVX today could be the Lendale part of that equation, although I don't know much about him except that he is a pretty big back.

MH- don't run into your linemen. They may not be great but they're trying to help you
LC- hang on to the football

I see Creer Oku and Williams being our backfield, not bad at all!

Do you think it would be realistic if the two backs in the backfield were hardesty and creer. I think that would be a nice combo, if hardesty can stay healthy!

Don't sleep on Poole. During camp Rico McCoy said he was the hardest RB to tackle because he's physical and hard to bring down.

I want gamebreakers out there. Sorry just my thoughts. I think the faster you are the faster you can get to the endzone.

Quote from CLK:

"If you're not playing physical, you're not playing"

I think that will give Poole a very good advantage to at least be the bruising, tough yards back in a 2-back system in time.

Poole and Williams could be LenDale types. Giles is the most like Bush. Hardesty, Creer, and Oku are all well rounded backs. Thigpen is more of a slot/CB/return specialist.
