He put up 311 yards and 2 TDs.
One in the beginning. One at the end. That's called playing a complete game.

He was engaged all game long. He missed some throws but what can you can expect with such a strong arm?

He checked down a lot because it was the closest eligible receiver, and he has faith in all his teammates!

For those of you complaining about him sliding too early...if he gets hurt... who's going to play QB? He wasn't thinking about himself. He was thinking about his TEAM.

This is JGs team! For two more years! That's a lot of opportunities to get better.

GO VOLS!

JG was awful. Stared down receivers, slid before the 1st down marker when he did actually run, very little mobility.

BTW, 1 of those TD's was a freebie at the end of the game.

Nothing is free. He marched the offense down the field because that's his job.

Sorry I'm just going to paste my comment from another thread:

JG is most definitely the problem and I'm quite sick of people defending him after all this time.

He still:

Stares down receivers
Can't feel pressure
Hesitates too much when deciding to throw or scramble
Is a terribly slow runner but he is labled as a dual threat QB
Doesn't know what a pump fake is
Can never decide how much touch to put on the ball. Usually throws it too hard when he doesn't need to. Doesn't throw it hard enough at times thus underthrowing receivers.
Also overthrows receivers by a mile
Never sees defenders when throwing in coverage (see the interception in the end zone vs Georgia State)

This kid has access to resources any QB could possibly dream of! Peyton Manning ring a bell?

There's no more excuses for this kid to be the starter anymore.

If Pruitt was a real coach he'd bench his spoiled little ass and make a change at QB and then go from there.

No he didn't. From just a stats standpoint he was fine, but that's ignoring what happened during the game.

Yea, right after the previous possession where he ended all hopes by throwing a pick.

Hey!
Guess what?

If Jarrett doesn't throw 2 TDs we lose 38-16.
Think about that.

It's the first game of the season. He's just now getting warmed up. How about the rest of the team???? Hmm?
