Congrats to Mullen and Miss St. Mullen has way less talent than we do and he out coached Dooley hands down. He also had Balls and made some big calls and got the best out of his players. I honestly think Miss St only has half the talent we do but 100% more coaching. This was a pathetic display and a waste of talent...

Hunter and Patterson will leave and I don't blame them. Who would want to come back to this losing dump of a coaching staff... I am so sick of losing and getting excited to only be disappointed. Karma is catching up to Dooley and our Vols suffer because of it. Dooley always finds a way to help lose a game for us. Had 2 weeks to prepare and this is best you can do. I am tired of trying to find something positive... GTFO LOSER!!!!

I know our players don't like losing either and they deserve better than this. I am proud of our Players for coming to Tennessee and representing our University and playing hard. I am just so sorry that they don't have someone better to lead them..

The players deserve what? Regardless of what Dooley and his staff are or aren't doing, the players are the ones out there screwing up. We lost the game on peewee mistakes tonight.

You have to catch the football on a kickoff.
You have to make the interception when the QB hits you in the numbers with the football.
You have to hold onto the ball in the biggest drive of the game.

This is football 101. I'm not backing the coaches here, but if the players haven't learned these things by now, then the blame is on them as much as anybody.

Our PLAYERS make the mistakes.

You don't watch much football do you? Coaches have to put players in position to be successful our coaches especially Sal doesn't do that. Check the 3rd and 6 with 3:54 to play and you will see Brent Brewer in man coverage with MSU's only receiver Bumpus. Brewer should never be ask to cover Bumpus one on one especially with the game on the line. That's coaching

Can u enlighten me to what a coach is for?

I guess they taught devrin to fumble... And taught lathers to not wrap up the running back on that last drive or brewer or teague not to cover.... Or to rough the kicker or to get a personal foul.... All of those things are the players... You can't blame it all on coaching.

Our PLAYERS make the mistakes.

All players will make mistakes!!!! Coaches help to minimize that and put them in good situations. If you didn't see how confused our team was on all sides of the ball all night long and how many times players had their hands palms up to the sky trying to figure out what in the hell was going on then you need to find another sport to watch. Pitiful coaching and a lack of conveying knowledge to our players is to blame.

Our PLAYERS ex. PATTERSON helped to minimize some of the dumb coaching by making big plays... If you don't think Talent will cover up for a poor coach then you are crazy... Just ask Chizik lol.. Cam Newton made him look like an all star coach.. Look at him now..

Yes, our players need better coaching in certain areas.. They are finally starting to play for 60 minutes but a lot of them also need to pull their heads out of their a$$es and quit making the same mistakes they have been getting chewed out for since middle school..

Every damn thing is not Dooley's fault, the staff's fault, the weather's fault, the God's fault.. Regardless of the coach(es) the players have to accept some responsibility for what is going on..

One other thing they deserve, in large part, is a better class of fans..

Dooley is not getting them ready, mentally or physically. Until now, I have had the attitude "let's give him a fair chance." Tonight was the turning point for me. There is clear NFL talent on the team - probably not because of anything Dooley is doing but due to the world class facilities Tennessee has. 0 and 13 against ranked teams, many times playing at Neyland, is not going to cut it. Hart has the second half of the season to survey the field of available candidates who have proven they can win in a major conference, preferably the SEC. The guy that beat them tonight, in a stadium that looks it should be at a high school, would be a good place to start.

Let me put this to you 0-13 against ranked teams... Oh yeah that is all on the players isn't it..

PEOPLE COME TO WATCH THE PLAYERS PLAY AND WE AS UT FANS EXPECT AFTER 3 YEARS OF PUNISHMENT TO HAVE A BETTER PRODUCT ON THE FIELD THAN WHAT WE SEEN TONIGHT.

Maybe they should practice and more emphasis should be put on Holding on to the football in critical times of the game or maybe the DB's should be practicing how to read the offense and tip drills to give them confidence in catching the ball... Sometimes a player will make a mistake and cost us a game but TONIGHT you cannot blame this nitpicking BS on the players... IT was piss poor coaching and nothing more...

WE also had Patterson take one 98 yards for a TD and catch a big TD pass from Bray. Yet our brilliant coaching staff didn't find ways to get our best player the ball.. no way this on the players.. not this time.. calling time out to get lined up on defense for second week in a row is pathetic and defense was terrible because the didn't have any idea what was going on all night.. It was AJ going around to players trying to get their heads in the game saying and I would have thought that was SAL's job.. come on man... It was obvious who was at fault tonight and it damn sure wasn't the players...
