Its really not hard to see what we should be doing and what we should've been doing all along...

Get the ball to what I think might be one of the most talented group of WRs in the country by any means necessary.......Preferably in space.......

Jennings and Callaway are NFL players

Palmer needs the ball as well, hes a playmaker and needs 2-3 touches a a game.....

With Mauer at QB, Chaney needs to game plan getting those guys the ball and use that to set up Chandlers and Grays zone running game...

How about some Sean Payton screen passes for Chandler and Gray?.....I'm telling yall, we could be a dynamic offense, even with our young kids up front!

I like the way Callaway and Jennings play.... but take it easy with the best in the country stuff.

Bama has a good pair.....I'm also extremely impressed by FLAs WRs.......TNs underrated bc no one can throw them the ball ...you dont think Callaway and Jennings are among the best in the country?

I wish we could model our offense around NO.

We do need Chandler and Gray in space more especially with screens when they defense is breaking through the OL.

Callaway and Palmer need about 5 touches or 8 targets. Jennings should get around 10 targets tbh. He's making his case to be drafted. If we had better QB play we would definitely have a well oiled machine.

I feel like All we’ve done the past two years is throw the ball sideways. What was fun about last Saturday was we were finally throwing the ball downfield

I know what we do have that is tops in the country...a delusional fan base.

Just because they wear orange folks...doesn’t make them “one of the best in the country.” Even though WR probably is the strongest position groups on the team and JJ is one of the all time great Vols IMO.

An all time great Vol, but not best in the country?.....interesting that those that believe Callaway and an "all time great vol" being one of the best in the country is delusional?........ok, we'll wait for Callaway and Jennings to ball out in the NFL in the next few years to say "man, we had the best WRs in the country on our team that year that we sucked"....

So far this season it's been to go against anything that works. And put our players in poor positions to make a play.

I'm with you bro.... that's why I posted it....let's find a way to get the ball to the kids that can get it in the endzone

You're absolutley right! However, Callaway is great. Jennings is great. Palmer should be great.....those guys are NFL receivers......throw a dog a Bone...... this has gotta be our offense moving forward
They are good, but no they aren’t great

I wonder what this guy thinks about our offensive philosophy.

Here's another highlight of our offensive philosophy:

The issue has been the coaches being unable to do what they wanted offensively because of poor quarterback play

Gotta establish a solid running game before we can really get success downfield. I felt that was what happened in the 2nd half, essentially our RBs couldnt get anything going and then with no threat of getting gashed, our receivers were covered, leaving Maurer with few targets downfield.

Jennings may fight harder than anyone I've seen with the ball. What hinders him is his speed. If he was faster hes a 1st to 2nd round pick. Together Callaway and Jennings are good but not near the top in the country. Grey needs the ball more. I dont understand how Chaney can call such a good quarter of football and completely duff the other three.

Best in the country? That is a big statement, they may turn into the best in the country, but if we go by actual game play, not practices (JG broke a lot from that nonsense), they aren't at the top of the heap. The problem I see is, when JG was QB, everyone we played against knew he couldn't throw a pass past 15 yards (when he stretched it), thus our opponents -D- had an easier time (I mean we're 1-4, a much easier time) covering every receiver. Maurer may be giving some of the oppositions planners and scouts cause for a second look at game day calls. If all works out they may start to get some national attention (positive, something UT needs), and we may win one more game.

Alabama has some of the best receivers in the country. But they also have one of the best quarterbacks in the country as well. Might be a connection somewhere in there.
