How many top teams have a Sophmore starting? How many have two? My point is we have four and they are not ready IMO to be great run blockers,they need one more year in a college S&C program too get stronger and more mature would we like them too be better yea, but they just aren't strong enough yet they are still too young. I think next year this OL will be ALOT better JUST GIVE TEHEM TIME!!!!!!!

A lot of fans under estimate the amount of time it takes for an O-line to mature. Even the pros have to work together for a year or so before they get good. UT's line will be fine, maybe even late this year (Nov) and it will help in the future. Growing pains hurt but it really hurts when you see talent that just cant get it done. UT will be fine.

a lot of good teams have had underclassmen in the o line and have succeeded. ours needs strength and a little butt chewing.

Not sure the OL coach is any good. Yes he came from the NFL but I expected it to be better and we are worse than last year.

They're young, but the "they're too young excuse" is only going to work so long. They could be playing better and they know it. Whether it's technique, execution or whatever they need to get it figured out rather quick, October is almost here.

Those boys are big enough to drive people off the ball, so the strength argument is really nothing more than a excuse.

We have 4 undeclassmen starting. At least 4 more in the 2 deep. Wisconsin laughs. Bama says hello. Mid 90's Nebraska O-line is ROTFLTMFAO!!!! We need time up front. We will be good to great on the line by next season. Dominant in 2013. We are set up for the next few years to make a comeback. Patience will be required folks.

Florida's O-Line is just as young and they pushed us around all day. This is year 2 for this group. No excuses. We're just not that good.

Its so hard not to get impatient, but it will certainly pay off. I prefer watching Dooley build the program then flaming with one or two good years. Its a process no doubt.

Floridas oline did not push us around, and our dline isn't very good. They got the edges with a 4.3 back and got on our freshmen lb's.

They need to get nasty. something the coaches can't teach or scheme. Gotta come from within. Point of pride to beat the man in front of you.

I'm kind of with you on that. They all going to grow into men between this year and next? They don't run block well and it's not because they're too weak to do so.

You made my point. We suck on D. They (Florida) should not have pushed us around, yet. Our D 'catches' blocks instead of shedding them. They lose leverage early and don't keep contain. They don't set the edge and force plays very well. Florida did those things on D. They won. We didn't do those things on D. We lost.

I think it's the fact that our oline got whipped against our first 3 opponents and they haven't shown any improvement since last year in the run game. It's definitely a cause for concern.

Where is Schofield? I recall he started a game or two last season, one of our biggest strongest linemen, and last year they were calling him a "road-grader" ... which is something our running game could use, one would think

D line is still undersized in the middle. The ends really haven't showed much and you got what you got. It's a combination of both though. You get a guy in the middle that demands a double team, someone on the edge gets freed up. The lines aren't championship caliber on both sides of the ball. Main reason why i keep saying 2013 is more likely than 2012. Takes time to get those guys in here, teach them the schemes and hope they pan out.

The oline has potential, the dline needs help.

I don't think people are talking about being good. They're talking about being able to have at least a decent running game.

Florida's o-line is slightly above average

O Line is the steepest curve in college football. Steeper than QB or D Line. O Lineman take years of S&C at the college level to get to an SEC starter level, unless they're just 5 star freaks of nature. They've got to learn the schemes and solid pass blocking technique as well, but your line isn't having problems with pass blocking.

I'm not expecting too much to change over the course of the season. Power run blocking is forged in the weightroom, and players don't see too much of that during the season. Give em time. They'll be fine. Just growing pains.

Not making excuses fro O-Line but am I the only one seeing holes, soft spots and cut back lanes that our running backs just miss? And am I the only one seeing that our running backs don't break many tackles? Have any of our running backs shown a burst and popped one for a long run? All I'm saying is if you have to pancake the D-line for us to run the ball then we'll never have a running game.

Seriously? Our oline coach is great!
How many sacks did we give up to uf last year? 6, and they admitted their dline last year was bad. Gave up 3 this year! Much better especially considering our line is younger now!

Size does not equal strength. In retrospect, Coach Dooley's worst hire was bennie wylie. He sucked as a S&C coach in the SEC. His leaving for texas was a gift for us! Give coach CRM a year and these guys will be blowing people off the line! The gain our team has made in the short time he has been here speaks volumes...do some research before you spout off.
