Our next four opponents are a combined 16-0 right now.

at #5 Georgia
at #21 Mississippi State
#1 Alabama
at #6 South Carolina

All rankings are from the newly released AP poll.

3 out of 4 on the road, 3 out of 4 against top 6 teams. Maybe Dooley still will be the head coach in 2013, but it certainly looks like he's going to have to earn it.

What are your predictions for this stretch?

I'm thinking 0-4 or 1-3. At this point, I'll admit I would be surprised at 2-2. It would not shock me if Dooley's termination is announced during or shortly after this stretch.

Gonna get 1 win out of this. And that is saying something positive.

Sadly, I fear the worst. All are better than we are. Hopefully we pull out MSU. I hope to be surprised by EOM October.

I think we get one, possibly two wins. I don't think anybody really expects to beat Bama but until it's over on the field you never know....

I said it in the other, nearly identical, thread... South Carolina will likely lose 2-3 straight before we play them and will not be in the top ten.

With a veteran team I :cray: sadly say we will lose all 4. I want us to win every game but Dooley is 0 for a career against the teams we need to beat to be a contender in the East. This should be the nail in the coffin for him. Good man but not SEC HC worthy. Team has yet to play like winners against these teams....coach has yet to show he can out gameplan these teams' staffs....end result 0-4.

This - no doubt about it in my mind. There is no evidence to prove otherwise. Wish there was. Dools has one only one game outside the state of TN - NCSU this season in the dome. The lowest ranked team is played on the road. One of the home games is Bama.

Well if the truth hurts say ouch!

I am tired of every game praying it all comes together to only be disappointed yet again.

I want Dooley to please make me a believer again for the sake of Tennessee football.

Call me an optimist but I seriously think we could go 2-2 or maybe even surprise Georgia and go 3-1. It's all how our players attitudes are during the games and if we start playing to our potential. This team has so much potential and they just need that one huge game to get our momentum and confidence up! GBO

It really is put up or shut up at this point... I honestly see one win, and possibly two as i stated earlier. If we get the split that puts us at 5-3. Go 3-1 in November (or even 4-0!!!) and we have ourselves a good season. If it all breaks down and we go 0-4 in October we're 3-5 and so-called negavols (a group to which i guess i currently belong...) will be howling even louder than they/we are now.... Go 4-0 in Nov. and that puts us at 7-5 and a likely trip to the Liberty bowl... 3-1 makes us Nashville bound with a .500 record....

Just thinking out loud and trying(!!!!!) to find simething to be optimistic about....
