Pretty thorough display of inefficiency at this point, to put it mildly. Out of 125 teams we are:

* 81st in 3rd-down conversion percentage (.391)

* 86th in passing efficiency (119.7)

* 103rd in total offense per game (349.0)

* 109th in rushing per game (107.0)

* 112th in yards per rush (2.97)

* 116th in yards per play (4.53)

* 117th in yards per pass completion (9.76)

* 117th in TFL allowed per game (7.8)

* 118th in sacks allowed per game (3.6)

B-b-but didn't you know we're young? And it's a process? After all, no other team in the country ever plays freshmen.

Wow! Much better than I thought.:)

Hurd is hurt, Lane is banged up, and Scott who will now play a lot hasn't seen the field yet either. Oline is the worst in SEC history, Worley forcing throws, recievers not getting open, and questionable play calling doesn't bode well for us either.

I thought we had a WR corp that was damn near unstoppable and oozing deep? So much so that we only need 1 WR in the '15 class. Yet they can't get open?

Everyone knew this going into the season. Everyone knew we lost all our O linemen. Everyone knew we were going to play freshmen and first time starters. Thank you Dooley for your awesome decision to recruit no linemen. :cray:

These statistics do not mean anything. We are also only two plays from being 4 and 1. Think about that.

That's more an indictment of how overrated Georgia is and how atrocious Florida still is than it is an indicator of UT making actual progress.

The OL is bad but it is not the 8th least talented in the country. The scheme is part of the problem whether you choose to see it or not.

Actually as a unit I'd say it's one of the worst in d1. I don't see how it's not obvious that the oline is the problem to all you people. You can blame playcalling all you want but you are screwed when your oline is that awful.

So whose fault is it that they haven't been coached to block in this scheme?

But Worley is the most improved player in the nation. Lmao. I was watching highlights last night and realize that Worley just can't zip it to his wideouts like a good QB can, and arm strength is more a result of technique that muscle, so he'll never be an elite qb. Ask bray...skinny but he could sling a football with velocity.

Well that's funny because last year we ran for the 2nd most yards as a team in over a decade. You know why? Because we had an experienced o-line. We even did this with terrible QB play. We threw for the second fewest yards last year since the early 90's. Only one year when Crompton was here did we throw for less yards in a season in this time frame. So, let's see here, teams knew we couldn't pass the ball, they stacked the box over and over against us last year, and yet we still found ways to run the ball effectively even with two average RBs and teams stacking the box all game against us. Neal and Lane aren't NFL backs here. It wasn't like we had a Gurley last year running the ball for us. I'm sure coaching had nothing to do with any of the running success last year. You get this team an o-line and I promise you we will be in bussiness with the way our defense is developing.

I'm also not sold on Mahoney either, but to say Mike Baj. and CBJ are fully to blame is ludacris. Mahoney is going to have to turn this around and prove he can recruit or he may be without a job at years end.

There definitely is some bias in them. We play in SEC and the other 109 do not. If we played in Conf USA, we would be doing much better numbers wise.
