Man I like the look of our future defense if we hold on to what we got committed.

DEs: Jac Smith, Jordan Williams, Miller, Trent Taylor, Latroy Lewis

DT: O'brien, Couch, Jacobs, Carson, Saulsberry

LBs: AJ, Maggitt, Harris, Peters, Santos, Henderson, and King( may end up being the best group period)

DBs: McNeil, Crawley, Randolph, Tino Thomas, Coleman, Moore(there's still potential), Orta, and Lanier.

Then look at maybe adding: DE Denico Autry, DT Justin Shanks, and hopefully another CB or Safety. Throw in a surprise big time DE maybe Bullard or Hamilton(yeah I know I'm reaching). And we'll be sitting strong.

All that would be holding us back would be CB play. Hopefully Coleman, Thomas, Crawley, and Orta can answer the problems we're having back there. Or that Lanier can develop into a Deangelo Willingham for us.

That Front Seven will be nasty though. For any recruits reading this look at what you will be part of. The No.1 defense in the country. Then we'll have Bray and the offense rolling. Plus everybody's boy D.Young returning kicks. Better get ready for some Orange Revenge coming up. Mcneil and Randolph will be hell at Safety in years to come.

IN looking at the DB's I think there is also potential for teague to improve greatly for his last year. How many of us remember how bad Jonathan Wade was. He turned it around, had a good last year and ended up with a decent career in the NFL.

If the front 7 is going to be as good as you think corner play might not matter as much as it normally would. Pass rush changes everything. I can't remember what a pass rush looks like, but I hear they're nice.

Wade did not have a decent NFL career. He was drafted high, but he was a bust for where he was picked. I get your point, though.

That DT list still looks very uncertain to me. It's filled with unproven guys and isn't long enough to miss on one or two and still have depth.

I hope Teague comes along, but he has a long way to go. He takes bad angles and often takes fakes and is out of position. He has not learned to turn the receiver to the inside where there is help.

Corners seem weak.

The entire secondary is questionable at this point.

What looks weak to me is DE. Just not sold on that group at all.

And what makes it worse, the two weak points on that list need each other to be really good and that scares me.

We need at least one of those CBs to turn into a lock down guy and one of the safetys if not two, to be real threats. On the flip side we need to find a pass rush or it wont matter how good the CBs become.

So some may see that list as something great, I see a lot of questions and hope. The potential is there but a whole LOT to prove by everyone on there.

Agree with all. Need Autry.

DE play this year has been a disappointment. I hope Williams continues to improve and hopefully moving Miller back out to his natural position will pay some dividends.

Whoa, easy chief. That may be a tad bit bold and premature

I like that we are dipping in to JUCO and possibly grabbing 3 of the top 10.

Should provide immediate depth and skill.

Teague is nowhere near the athlete Wade was--but anything is possible...
