Our freshman cornerback

Yep, thought he played well. And yes, that 4th and 6 TD, the receiver did push off for separation.
Even with the push off . . . My guess is that play (a low probability throw) is successful for a college QB MAYBE 2 times out of ten. He had it covered. It was a perfect throw and catch . . . With a push off norm called that would have been called on any other team than UGA or Bama or Ohio State.

Agreed. Extremely ballsy call on 4th and manageable. If the pass wasn't perfect, UGA fans are kicking their dogs and yelling at the screen about why they allowed mediocre QB to throw a low % pass on 4th down.

But he made a great throw, and now UGA fans think he's better than Carson Beck ever was.

So, if I get the gist, what you’re saying is Redmond is going to be the shizzle and Stockton can throw a good ball more than 20 yards downfield.

Man, talk about a baptism by fire, Ty Redmond got thrown into it against Georgia. I watched the game again, and considering that Ty is a true freshman, I believe that he did as well as he possibly could have and hopefully learned a lot. No doubt the coaches are going to use the film to give him a lot of insight for the future. Go big Orange!
Let's hope it makes him better.

I thought he played pretty well and that TD against him the receiver pushed off.
Yep he pushed off and was defended well sometimes the ball is just there and that one was. He did give Ty a push they do let that go most of the time, unless its a all American DBack who the refs know, in other words an unknown freshman gets no favors. Just the way it is the refs are fans too.

I think his technique is the biggest thing right now. He’s got really good size for a CB. I feel like he can play routes from a trail technique and just stay in the hip pocket of the receiver.

On the TD, i think he should’ve been over 🔝 of the receiver because when the push off occurred, there was too much space between him and the WR.

Corner is mastering the subtle nuances and yes, 🏈 skills is the separator amongst good to great CB play. I do like his physicality and he has a bright future if he keeps fine tuning.

These reps he’s getting now are so valuable while McCoy and Gibson are out
More reps he gets the more it will slow down for him mentally. He’s going to be good just hard for a true freshman to be in that situation
