our first opponent

Tis true. But I will be up there in about 10 weeks from today, Lord willin and the creek don't rise.:yahoo:

I went on a vacation/mission trip back in 2008. We stayed in West Glacier the first week, and in Heart Butte for the actual mission work the second week.

I loved Glacier Park.

I am going to Grand Teton and Yellowstone for a week in June. We are going to drive over the Beartooth on our way home and drive through southern Montana. I was going to Glacier also but couldn't save enough for the extra time :cray: Anyways at this point I am just sweating the stupid polticians getting the budget crap over with. I already got cabins in GT and Yellowstone paid for. I am seriously...:) well not really, but almost, thinking about assassinating my local Republican congressman if he cost me this chance for a once in a lifetime, lifelong dream trip.

We are very "vanilla" simply because Montana is not that diverse of a state. Its very hard to recruit minorities to a place that doesnt have much to offer them other than education. For the most part the only reason there are any black people in Montana is because of the Air Force Base in Great Falls and then the student athletes from out of state.

A couple coaches I know actually tell some of the athletes they are "recruiting" not to come to Montana or MSU if they have a gut feeling this kid might have an attitude not conducive to his best interests. Its a tough balance to try and keep student athletes on the right track without the off field problems that arise.

There are still some people that just wont drop their differences and welcome people from out of state or from different races or cultures.

Perhaps Montana should change their nickname to the "Glaciers." Big, white, and slow-moving! :eek:lol:

I keed I keed!!

He's a very good player.

He can probably take away (for the most part) either Hunter or Rogers but he can't cover both.

How's the other CB?

Pretty big drop-off...

Actually I haven't been following the spring practices too closely this year so I'm not sure who's leading the pack right now. We have a couple JUCOs and a Western Michigan transfer, none of whom have the size and strength of Trumaine.

And we were supposed to have this guy, but he didn't play last year, and doesn't appear on a roster. Maybe Alpha knows what's up with that.

Dooley will not overlook this team. This is a good opening game and it may take a few drives for the offense to get settled in but it end up being a blow out.

I just had to say, you have a very nice selection of favorite teams.

The other corner is definitely going to be a problem for us against you guys for a multitude of reasons.

We dont know who is going to start there.
The player that does is gonna be small.
The player will be unproven on game day and we wont know what we will get.
Might be a platoon situation.

IMO it will come down to:
Houston Roots 5'10" 185
Donny Lisowski 5'11" 188
Kevin Frank Jr 6'0" 190

I have seen Roots and Lisowski the last few years and they have improved but couldnt get on the field as a starter so far, so why now.

Frank Jr looks better already IMO and hes a sophomore.

We are definitely going to have to roll some safety help to one side at times and thats going to help create mismatches with slot WRs TEs and RBs coming out of the backfield.

I don't care if Deon Sanders suits up for you guys, it's gonna be a longggg day to be a Montana fan.

Vince Taylor is the other guy that SG was talking about, of course hes not as good as Deion Sanders either so its a moot point for him and Deion.

Taylor is last I heard ineligible do to grades or something administrative.

Perhaps you should be thinking about the Democrat controlled House AND Senate...and White House... that ignored the 2011 budget for 11 months in 2010 when they had control over the entire process.

No...much easier to blame Republicans, and the Tea Party, for wanting to actually erase the deficit.

Your once in a lifetime, lifelong dream...comes at the expense of you being completely delusional regarding why your trip is in jeopardy.

Typical Liberal.

Go Vols.

Wow, I love how one-sided the opinions of those on the far right or far left are. I bet you're one of those people that reads news articles on Yahoo or MSN, etc. and posts in the comments section making every story from a talking dog to a space shuttle launch into some sort of insult towards Obama.

Get over yourself, this is not a political forum.

Ok, rant over.

My political inclination is very hard for even me to understand. Some things conservatives believe in I do also. Some things Liberals believe in I do also. I was just kidding about the local congressman thing. I really don't know who to blame in particular, I am pretty sure there is plenty to go around for Dems and Repubs both. I guess I am sort of a social conservative who cares deeply about the environment and the less fortunate. I know what happens when the gap between the top and bottom gets too wide. Revolution, eventually you end up with somebodys head getting chopped off... And freakin GOOOOOO VOLS that much we can definitely agree on for sure!
