i will say our fans cheered loud the whole game. i was proud to see that level of cheering. it's been awhile since i've seen that much passion.

i hate the booing,

i was glad that people started chanting Crompton for encouragement. it was just before he threw the last incompletion.

as fans we really need to encourage our defense every play.

As fans there needs to be no booing. You think Crompton gave a **** when they started chanting his name when five minutes before he was booed?

if you are gonna sell your university with 100k people you have to take the good and the bad ....i'm sure the coaches were thinking of stuff worse then the boo's ... you gotta member those fans prolly spent there whole weekend coming over there to watch the lane train .... i really don't see anything wrong with booing if you are gonna sell your university as a pro team like they do in knoxville

No matter how bad a person sucks, you should never "Booo" your team. Unfortunately, it happens in college and the pros. Fans get frustrated. They seldom recall the great wins but remember in vivid detail what the cause of every loss was.

I didn't really hear any booing in section C, a little after the 2nd interception. I thought the crowd was pretty docile until the last 8 minutes of the game. I think most just expected us to pull away at some point.

I thought it was loud too.
However, I cant boo the players there was guy sitting next to me who booed Cromp the entire 4th qt. Im not passing judgment but to me it feels a little sleazy to boo a kid.

Cromptons problem is he has to think too hard. Being a QB just doesnt seem to come natural to him. He is not a gametime QB. The pressure gets to him. Thats why he always does good in practice. He missed BW over the middle for a sure touchdown, but threw the ball high. He consistently stared down his reciever and I could see that from AA row 7. When he dropped back, I knew exactly who he was going to throw to by watching his head. If I see that, the DB sees it and they saw it yesterday. Crompton will fall apart in the Swamp and if he doesnt, I will start a thread myself apologizing to him.

For the love of god don't call a college senior a kid. New rule, never boo a pro athlete if either parent is alive because their still someones kid. I never boo at games just because I don't like doing it but with the way our qb played yesterday I'm okay if the other 100,000+ people in the stadium want to.

I think the fans looked great on TV. I dont see booing helping anything. Maybe it releases tension for those who may be a little frustrated with a certain player but do you really think that the great KIFF would make a mistake in judgement of talent. He is the best you got and I dont thinks it gets better.

I hate it when people call College Football Players "Kids" - These are adults. Young adults but they're big boys and they should be able to hold their own.

As far as the booing goes, it's done at any stadium in the US. We are not an exception, although many would like to think we are. If a player plays consistently bad, he's going to get boo'd. It's unfortunate but that's just the way it is. It doesn't help recruiting - but that's the way it is.

To tell the absolute truth - our QB turning the ball over 4 times doesn't help recruiting either. And is probably worse than the booing.

Thank God you're here to tell us what you think.

The crowd was fabulous yesterday. The defense played great, especially on third down. We will be alright. Crompton just needs to follow the Hippocratic oath. An incompletion and a punt is not always that bad.

I dont think the "booing" is right. I will never do it to a individual college player. Might heckle the opposing team or officials a little in good fun but I think when you ask a kid to come play for you (your university) you should treat them a little better. obviously booing Crompton is not going to help things, he is mental toughness is definitely fragile.

At what age will they (players) not be kids anymore? I stopped being a kid the day I graduated high school.

I was down on the field yesterday and it was absolutely deafening. It's a lot different than being in the stands because your getting it from all angles. It was just static noise, like Cal's quarterback said a couple years ago. I don't know how that QB stayed composed.
