I know that we had alot of points put on us today but our defense looked really strong in many areas. Keep improving on that and we will be an elite D in no time. They were on the field a ton in the second half and in bad field position thanks to turnovers.
I think our main issues are most certainly on the offensive side of the ball. Oline looked confused today. I thought the overall offensive game plan was pretty weak minus a pretty good 2nd quarter. I wish I could see the whole field on TV but from what I saw, coverage was really tight, pass blocking broke down, and run blocking was never established. Personally, I think you have to cut them some slack because of the nature of the early season without practice....but other teams had to deal with that as well. You have to learn and move forward. Until we start winning up front, we just won’t have big upsets. We are a B- team at this point. Time to go to school boys and get better at your positions.

I agree, D definitely played respectable given the hands they were dealt. By the fourth we were just getting gassed thanks to our Oline and JG.

No lie, if you look around the SEC, we might seriously have the 2nd best defense in the conference.
Not sure about that, I'm not convinced the GA offense is elite. I think we are ahead in where I thought we'd be defensively this year.

The offense is way behind where I feel they should be.

I was quite impressed with the front 7. Secondary continues to be overrated (seems that way every year).
After holding Georgia to 26-21 I was even more impressed.

Just look at time of possession. Defense was gassed.

Defense is number 2 in the SEC and that has a lot to do with how terrible SEC defenses are this year outside of Tennessee and Georgia.

I'll take the fourth quarter out since they were clearly gassed. Plus I'll take the defensive TD away and the two FGs to start the 3rd quarter.

There were still too many points given up. UGA has a very mediocre offense. Now way should they of had 17 at the half. Plus that TD to end the third that put them up by 9 was a bad busted coverage. Yes in spurts in the second quarter they looked great. But I can't sit here and say they played well. Not consistent enough. And I stress, that's me excluding the entire 4th.

Any Tennessee defense that keeps any UGA offense from a first down or TD on fourth and 1 twice in the game played lights out winning football. It's a shame their counterparts on offense could not come up with a similar effort.

That's the good. But dont ignore the bad
The way Bama is playing UGA to me is the best team in the nation even thou there offense isn't great. They had home field and superior talent, it'll take a couple years of really good recruiting to be able to be deep enough to stand up to them thru 4 quarters.

Our defense scored a TD in the first half and was the major reason we took a lead into halftime. Keeping UGA out of the end zone with 1 tick on the clock and a yard out before halftime was a gut check very few defenses in the nation could ever muster. Defense was not the issue other than being forced to defend turnover after turnover after turnover in their own territory the second half. Recall UGA's first two scores in the 2nd half were both field goals?? That was great defense as well.

Wish I could like it more than once.
