Our Commit vs. Bama's Commit

Who names their kid Jose Jose?

I'm admittedly out of the loop but who is this kid?

In his culture, it's supposedly considered a sign of good luck for a man to have the same first and last name. He said that there are 30 other men in his family named Jose Jose.

Makes for one heck of a family reunion...

Some of you people are idiots..... we will be fine.....we are about to be back on top....these kids are monsters and are only going to get better

I dont like to personally attack people on here....but Volman has GOT to be the BIGGEST idiot on this board, and it isnt even close. UT hasnt recruited any great players? How about the #1 player in the country that just committed a few months ago? Does Janzen Jackson ring a bell? What the hell do you expect, for us to sign the #1 player at EVERY position every year?!?! And star rankings are the ONLY thing that matters, right? Boy, those 3* recruits like Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford sure are struggling.

You are not a Vol fan. You are nothing more than a pot-stirring idiot. It is MAY. In case you have forgotten, NSD is in February of NEXT year. If we sign another Top 10 or 5 class this year, you will just be bitching that it wasnt #1.

The only thing I am perplexed by is this post. It is May. Give the coaches a chance. The last time I checked, a 4 star recruit was considered pretty good.

Go look up how many "elite" recruits Coach O brought to Ole Miss that went down to Gainesville and stunned the Gators.

...and for what it's worth, Crompton was an "elite" recruit coming out of HS.

Trust these coaches man, they know what they are doing. Rating these HS players is far from an exact science.

yeah Greg Hardy and Peria Jerry (1st round pick in the draft) have absolutely no talent. I do believe Hardy was a 3* recruit from somewhere in TN.

The number of stars by your name does not and can not measure heart. Often times, offer lists do no measure the willingess to improve . A few examples from a rival team:

Javier Arenas' only D1 offer before offered by BAMA was from South Florida and Demeco Ryans was just a two-star.
There are some hidden jewels out there. Who really knows which players are going to live up to their rating and which ones are going to be busts?

Demeco was a 3 star but still a good guy to point to about this topic.

If you figure the stats on population, percentage of that population who are 17-18 years old males, percentage of that number who play football, and the percentage of that number who are above average in ability, you have a huge number of potential recruits for all 119 Div I schools. Its a matter of fitting them to the system in use at a particular school. Trust your coaches - especially you folks at UT, because you have some excellent "talent spotters."
