How can you not be happy that our coach just won? He'll FOREVER be able to sell that in recruit's homes. That can't hurt.

We would've been fine if they had lost. I can in no way be happy for Alabama winning another title in any way shape or form. I couldn't care less about Pruitt getting a title with them. It's Alabama for gawds sake. How can any Vol fan be happy about this for ANY REASON? Cuz it may..(.but probably not).... help us get a recruit or two...?

Screw that.

Agreed. Much better than Georgia winning a natty. Alabama is what it is. Don’t need another power coming out if the sec east to compete with.

You did see the score when we played them last year? You do see their current success in recruiting? Losing this game tonight doesnt mean they arent "another poeer coming out of the sec east to compete with."

Our Coach has 4 National championship and one with a different school.

Yep, Pruitt had 4 NC rings and 1 was while he was the DC for Florida State.

That's some very serious big time Winning experience we have as our new HC.

Top recruits will know that too and will take Tennessee much more seriously.

Recruiting just got a tad bit easier.

VFL...GBO!!!

Lol at the delusional!

Saban and Tua won the title, Pruitt just gets a participation trophy.

Dropping truth all week, people!

So forcing Fromm into 2 picks, getting 4 sacks and shutting down their run game in the second half was Tua and Saban, huh?

Guess what? He’s gonna use this in recruiting for UT. The man’s a champion, regardless of your definition of “truth”.

I have to admit, I was really impressed with Pruitt last night.

Held UGA to 142 yards in the 2nd half (80 came on one play).

Held Chubb to 25 yards on 18 carries and UGA to 133 yards rushing.

Had Bama sustained some drives in the first half, I think they would have held UGA under 300 total yards.

I'm hopeful we'll actually see fundamentals improve, decent game plans and good halftime adjustments for a change

For the next couple years, I'm ok with our DBs being in position and giving up a play to a freak 5* Bama/UGA WR. What I'm not ok with is our DBs not knowing where to line up, being constantly out of position and playing 8 yards off the LOS. I'm hoping those days are over.

bitter we are..... what better outcome could have happened for Tennessee this year? We hired a coach who's previous stint resulted in a National Championship! Not only does he bring the ability to COACH at that level, but also to RECRUIT others with the street cred that he can back up what he's selling!
Alabama won this year...now WGWTFA!!!!

I was pleased to see Pruitt make halftime adjustments and shut UGA down in the 2nd half. We have not seen that here in Knoxville for awhile. It will be nice to have a coach that is willing to make changes at the half when something is not working.

Too bad McKenzie, Gaulden, and Kelly weren't swayed by Pruitt's epic run to a national title and his rings. Could have used those guys next season.

Saban's decision to put Tua in, and stick wit him a few series paid off immensely. Most would have pulled him after the 1st failed drive, but he stuck with him. I said it before, that when Tua got his chance watch out. You could see his potential when we played Bama. He's their future, even though Hurt has like a like 25 or 27 and 2 record as a starter. We all witnessed 1st hand something that is called "Player Development". The stage would have been too big for a lot of Freshmen, but he was ready for his shot.
