I guess Miss St has replaced Bama and the Gators as our biggest rival. I've never seen so many people celebrating a victory to a sorry opponent as has happened since that win last Saturday. You would have thought we won the SEC East or something. In reality, it was the battle of the two worst teams in the SEC. I guess it is to be expected since we are no longer competetive with the upper echelon SEC programs. That reality will set back in this Saturday.

I guess it's the new thing to get all over people for enjoying a win. You're only supposed say how bad UT is and how sad this Saturday will be. Didn't you get the memo?

Regardless of who they played, overall, TN played well on Saturday night. That's the fist time thats happened all year. That performance gave most TN fans a glimmer of hope, even if its just a glimmer.

TN played a good Half of football. The first half was not so good.

Uh, it's a football game. You react to it however you want to. That's why you pay to see it instead of them paying you.

Personally, I celebrated the plays more than the win. I enjoyed watching them play. I had fun watching them play. That's why I pay my money, to have fun.

Fulmer and Company have slowly taken the fun out of the football season(s) for me. I will rejoin the fun bunch when the coaching staff is replaced.

Personally I celebratye any and all VOL wins regradless of the foe. Now as to losses...losing to bama, well to quote an old Tennessee friend of mine, "I'd rather eat a bucket of buzzard guts and die of the screaming sh--s," than lose to those people.

I plan on celebrating Saturday night like an Orange wearing bama hatin MF'r.

OK...and the teams we beat this year are who? :)

In practicallly every game this year, Tn has been riddled with penalties and turnovers. If Stephens had been the QB, I have no doubt that Tn would have beaten UCLA and Auburn. I know those two teams suck, but TN should actually be 5-2. I'm with you, I think we need a new coaching staff, but I'm always going to pull for the Vols no matter what. The truth is that TN has the potential to beat a good team on a given day if they perform well.

Anyone have any idea how many good high school football coaches around the nation consider Fulmer to be a great coach?

I don't go with the what if theory. Most everybody can lay claim to a good season using that reasoning.

The decision not to start Stephens, penalties mistakes, turn overs, etc. all equal poor coaching. I'm over it. This has been going on too long and a change needs to happen. I'm not rooting against the team, I just want the coaching staff to leave so I can have my team back and enjoy football season again.

Just be patient. Change is on the horizon. No reason to do it now though. Just wait until the end of the season and allow CPF to retire. They aren't going to be able to start interviewing potential candidates until season's end anyhow.

I agree. I believe change will come after the season. It would be best for the program however if they (Fulmer) would announce his retirement / stepping down now. It would allow us to be more proactive on the coaching search, recruiting and would bring back a huge amount of support for the program from people that feel like I do. There are alot of people out there who are over this program until the change comes. And despite some opinions, that does not mean we are not "real fans".

I disagree on doing it now. Tn actually has a pretty good recruiting class on board right now. If Tn were to fire Fulmer now, it would be at least a couple months before they could really talk to candidates, and if players had no point of contact, they would almost definitely look elsewhere. Keep him until after the KY game and then get serious about it.
